How does Giant Toad work?

The description of that card says "If possible, discard a non-Gold unit, absorb its strength and draw a card."
So basically if you play Giant Toad you chose a unit in your hand, absorb it and draw a card but I've had it mutliple times now where I just played Giant Toad, absorbed its strength but didn't draw a new card.
Is that intended or a bug?

if your deck wasn't empty, it was a bug.

It wasnt. I checked it every time, sometimes I even had 15 cards left in my deck lol.

ive seen that card used against me and used it myself dozens of times and every time it worked properly

Certainly sounds like a bug. Make sure you report to CDPR (link in my Sig - if you have screenshots, or can make some, they help).

But to answer the original Question, yes, if you discard a unit to the Toad, you should draw a card. it says "if possible" because if you have no more units in hand to discard, then you don;t draw the card because the unit was not discarded.

I've noticed errors with the Pirate Captain and War Longship also not activating some discard triggers, so I wonder if they are related (where a discard trigger sometimes does not happen).
