Is there a way to ascertain what this card does?

After playing Elven Mercenary I triggered it's special - Play a random non-Gold Special Card from your deck. The card appears in the bottom right and is asking me to select a player (mine or an opponent) however I can't see how I can ascertain what it will do. Is there a way to view the details of the card I'm playing? Rather than just the target card?

Maybe view your deck before playing..

Also, another PLAYER 2 Master Cardsmith encounter.

I've just had a situation where I resurrected a random card from an opponent's graveyard and I had to use its ability without being completely sure of what it does based on the image. I think there is really no reason not to allow preview of a card while it's ability is being targeted.
