Doing my first Dark playthrough...
... and really, really liking the first special equipment set (Blasphemer). I can definitely understand why some call the Dark gear OP, but the game still has plenty of challenge. I was in one of the swamps in Flotsam at night, and got swamped (pun intended) by half a dozen Drowners and their stronger cousins, Drowned Dead. It didn't end well the first time.
The "cursed effect" from the weapons is actually pretty cool, although it does make it almost impossible to see during rainy weather at night. The sound effect is creepy but fitting.
I'm glad the GOG version of the game doesn't have achievements (anymore?), because I really wouldn't want to play through the game on Insane for a second time...
