PLEASE NOTE! Using the checksums provided below is not necessary in any way to run The Witcher 2, nor do we expect our users who are not interested in using them to download programs for generating and comparing checksums etc.
What are MD5 checksums?

Basically, an MD5 checksum is a unique value generated for a given bunch of data. If e.g. a file you have on your HDD differs by even a single byte from the original file on our servers their checksums will be different. So you can use MD5's to make sure a downloaded file landed on your hard drive intact.

Using MD5 checksums
To verify checksums on Windows one can use e.g. MD5Summer app, digestIT software or even the relevant functionality in Total Commander. Here's how to use digestIT:
1. Download digestIT and install it.
2. Right-click on the file you want to check and select digestIT -> Verify MD5 Hash (or Calculate MD5 Hash).
3. If you select "Verify MD5 Hash" then you will be able to copy and paste a given file's MD5 checksum. If the checksums match, you will see: "Digest matches. Verification succeeded."
4. If you select "Calculate MD5 Hash" then a checksum will be generated for your file which you need to visually compare to the checksum for that file given below.

Below you will find MD5 checksums for Enhanced Edition patch for The Witcher 2. The Enhanced Edition patch files that the checksums below were generated for can be acquired here or through the downloader.

Differences between current and earlier versions of EE patch files
1. PLEASE NOTE! If checksums generated for EE patch files downloaded before April 20th 2012 are different than the ones below it most likely DOES NOT mean the files are corrupted. If the patch installation worked that's the best proof your files are fine. We simply replaced several of the files for various reasons.
2. The latest manual EE patch files are the same as the latest downloader EE patch files.
3. The latest files will sometimes be different from their counterparts downloaded before April 20th 2012. This is because some of them were sliced differently.
