Kingdom Come: Deliverance

Here's an interesting game I've been keeping an eye on for quite some time. It's a first-person, open-world realistic RPG set in medieval Europe (that's a mouthful) and it's made by Warhorse Studios, a company founded by a group of industry veterans, including a guy behind Mafia series.

Anyway, the game gives off a Mount&Blade vibe and actually looks really promising. Looking forward to it more than to new M&B: Bannerlord. What about you, guys?

"Kingdom Come" alone would sound cooler imo. Now the title sounds more like some strategy game.

It looks like a niche game that you will either get hooked up on or dislike, Its still too early to judge though but I guess Vavra knows what hes doing.

You can find more info on their website. There are some interesting articles in blogs section. In short, the game looks like first-person perspective Mount&Blade on steroids i.e. it has a unique combat system, huge battles, castle sieges and most certainly a better storyline than M&B games.

However, bad news is it's not coming out any time soon...and there's even a chance it might not come out at all (God forbid), so there you go.

Yes. «Warhorse» would make for a vastly superior title, but, hey, perhaps their focus groups told them otherwise. The logo also looks wimpish.

That's the thing. There's no fantasy involved. It's supposed to be a magic-free mostly historically accurate medieval story-driven non-linear RPG. I realize «Kingdom Come: Deliverance» evokes fable-like scenarios, but that's just an additional flaw of the tittle.

What video are you talking about? There's at least one out there where animations look fairly good to me.

Anyway, competition is a good thing. Wish them all the best and will be keeping a close eye on this one.

I don't see why everybody shouts it's mount and blade clone. Because it has no fantasy elements and there isn't any other game like this except mount and blade? I haven't seen anything that would show some similarity. I know about the game for a looong time and from what is known, it looks like skyrim on the gameplay side.

those screenshots already show a level of detail and accuracy no other developer has achieved except for perhaps cpdr.

Eurogamer is saying they can't find publisher. Game looks promising. I hope someone helps them out.

This game needs some serious viral marketing, so please, spread the words for it.
