Siiigh Good start, then, ugh.

Agree
CGI's looks ugly as f***
No naked motoko (not that I'd wanted to see it, but that means they did clean all the mature stuff to ends with a PG13 movie)
Also... Except for watching Scarlett over-acting and some evil producer making a quick cash-grab on the licence, I absolutely don't know what's the point about this?
Do they really thought doing the Anime shot-by-shot would be a smart idea?
I mean, spoiler alert! The movie is already released since 1995, and the effects are amazing...

They could have gone in a fresh direction, like, when they where going for a Robocop remake, I was all "yay, chances are they'll give some fresh ideas to the original concept and make it something cool and have a modern approach on it".
But no, it ended just where GITS-The Movie looks to go: in the hands of people barely knowing what the source material is and doesn't knowing what to do with it.
"Ok, just let reshoot the anime, people will pay for it anyway".

Sorry guys, I already saw that movie, keep your hollywood cosplay fan fiction for yourselfs.
I'm just dreaming about what the guys from Dredd could have done with that licence...

That CGI effect was awful, in the anime it looks way better. Not feeling very hyped to say the least....

Cautiously optimistic, also hot damn is Harrison Ford gonna retire a rich man with all the films hes appearing in.

Also, with Ryan Gosling in the lead role, does anyone else consider that Real Human Being song ironic, considering replicants n stuff?
