Hernando is now in surveillance mode, but bored as hell.
(( Thought that might be the case. Tell what you'd like to find out, and any specific information you'd like to search for. ))

As Neko joins her, Maxine smiles up at her. Quite a naughty smile in fact, and she flicks the kitten tag hanging at her neck.

"Feeling playfull hmm ? I like it. Do what you wish to do, baby. Just do what I tell you to, if things become dangerous, ok ?"

Neko nods in agreement as she licks her lips seductivly

She'd then tour that part of the streets, building herself a mental map of the surroundings, and looks for a place to install the micro-cam, in order to get a perfect vision of the building rear entry. Once done, she says in the radio.
"Grem's, do you copy ? Cam installed, confirm the signal is good. Over."

Neko follows Max as they traverse the streets trying to build a mental map of the area.

(( Looks like Gremlin is getting forgetful in his old age (he has to be mid 50's ... an "old" man by street standards) since he gave both Talon and Max micro-cams. Guess Talon can find someplace else to stick his *smirks*. ))
Streetwise or Lore: Night City rolls from Talon, Max, and Neko please. Let's see how good your mental maps are.

"Wait one ..." Gremlin responds to Max's call "Tilt it up 45 degrees and left about 30."
Assuming Max does so.
"Looks good."

"Gremlin to Talon. Why don' ya be the first shopper, don't give a damn what ya say yer lookin' for, just don't hang out in there so long they get suspicious. Couple hours we'll have Neko take a look, and Max an hour or so later. Ya see anythin' outta-tha-ordinary inside Talon let us know."

(( Hernando, how brave are you feeling? Wanna try cracking some real security and see if you can find out more about our target? This isn't going to be easy. ))

Streetwise check for Mental Mapping;

Maxine rolls 1d10 = 6

Int (7)+1d10(6)=13

Maxine did her best to follow Gremlin's instructions, orienteering the micro-cam. Once done, she walked off the spot, grabbing Neko by the arm.
"Max done here. We're going to move to a place to look like normal couple that makes out in the street. Over."

She winks at Neko, as they walks in a back alley.

mental map Int 8 + streetwise 0 + 1d10 8 = 16

After Max grabs her arm the two of them move off like a couple as Neko's tail strokes Max's back as the walk the street. After finding a semi secluded spot the two of them engage in some heavy petting while keeping alert to their surroundings.

Int (7) + Streetwise (2) + 1d10 (1) + Luck (2) = 12.

"I read ya, Gremlin. I'll give it a look around and see what I can see."

Talon slowly makes his way over to the front door of the shop and makes his way inside.

(( I'll merely note that 15+ is generally required in CP2020 for a "useful" level of success, 10-14 is generally viewed as a "barely" successful ... ))

Inside Talon sees your basic "Pawn Shop 2020" layout.
Everything is behind thick, reinforced, glass or a wire cage, including the shop keeper. If you want to examine anything up close you enter, and are locked into, a booth to one side and the item is fed into the booth via a "security" drawer. The system, while a "bit" of a pain-in-the-ass certainly cuts down on shoplifting and "snatch 'n run" thefts.

A BIG sign announces "ALL SALES ARE AS IS AND FINAL".

As far as what's for sale ...
Mostly mid-range tools, electronics, weaponry, cyberware. Nothing too exotic, but not junk either. Stuff your typical ganger would like to own but is generally just a bit more then they can afford new.
(( If there's anything specific you'd like to find let me know as it may well be in here somewhere. ))

Talon both respects the extra security measures here and is annoyed by them given the reason he's casing the joint in the first place. He had hoped that it may be possible to set up his mini-cam inside of the store somewhere, but given his lack of technical knowledge, he doubts he would be able to get it into a good location without being noticed- if not by a person then by the stores own security cameras which it certainly has. Keeping to himself he wanders around the store, pausing at the weapons displays to note what is generally available. Internally, Talons curious about whether they have any heavier ordinance on sale or if it is just smaller items such as Pistols and smgs, with maybe a shotgun and rifle or two. Additionally he tries to note any entrances to back rooms as well as the most likely route to the backdoor.

He can certainly try if he likes, but since he lacks any skill in something like "Pickpocket" or "Sleight of Hand" he'd have to rely solely on "Luck". And while luck can substitute for skill to an extent it's always easier to succeed if you have some of the necessary skill to start with. I.E. no skill = a higher success value (say 20 instead of 15) is needed.

Mostly handguns and SMGs, but one weapon does catch his eye, a "Magnum Opus 10-Gauge Pistol". Not something you can fire without a cyberarm (unless you want a broken wrist).

After a few minutes of looking about, Talon will look at the thing in the store he has the most interest in, Cyberlegs and cyberfeet, looking for what options are available for purchase and the condition that they are in. He'll ask if they have any Spike heel feet, or possible Talon feet as well as any possible implants they have for legs, as those are options Talon has been considering for himself, and something he feels knowledgeable enough about to make conversation about if needed. Better to be a shopper looking for something than someone just wandering in looking around and then leaving. Really, Talon has no interest in purchasing those items from here, even if they have what he's looking for. Theres no way for him to know what backmarket "add-ons" could be attached to any cyberware purchased here, and when he finally buys those bits, he'll buy it through more reputable channels. He's just asking to keep up appearances.

They do have one Spike heel (left foot) available, it actually looks to be in pretty decent condition, used, but not abused.

As to "blackmarket add-ons", that's always a risk no matter where you acquire gear. The best way to be safe is have a CyberTech, WeaponsTech, ComputerTech, etc. look it over. Anyone can of course try, but obviously a specialist will do better.

Nothing of significant interest jumps out at Talon. There's one door behind the counter that leads into the back, probably an office, bathroom, and storage. Talon recalls the building has three floors, but in this section at least he doesn't see any way to access the upper floors (or probable basement).

Not being a techie Talon can guess there are probably cams around but doesn't actually spot any, the whole time you're in here there's just the one guy behind the counter and he's splitting his time between watching a portable TV and watching Talon.

Unless you want to do something else we'll fast forward to Max's turn to check the place out OR Hernando's possible net run ... or both.

Talon has looked around as much as he feels prudent. Better to let the next bird search the roost. He heads out of the shop, goes for another winding walk before finding his way back to the impromptu safehouse so he can report to Gremlin.

"Howdy Gremlin! Hernando. All going well? The store looks much like one would suspect from a shop in the combat zone, lots of grates to prevent theft and protect the owner, and minimal contact with goods possible until a sale is secured. Fair amount of smaller arms as well as a bit of general tools and cyberwear. Just seems like your typical general store. Honestly its a bit cleaner than I thought it would be. I didn't see any cams, though I have no doubt that they exist. From the front room I only noticed one other door. No indication of how to access the stairs or backdoor though."

Reaching into his Jacket pocket, Rodik pulls out the mini-cam remembering it now that hes back. "Here", Rodik says as he offers it back to Gremlin. "I heard Maxine already set one up on the backdoor, so I figured I'd try to set it up inside somewhere, but never got the opportunity."

*OOC: Yep, no problem with a fast forward.

While devouring Neko with kisses, and making out hotly was not the most brilliant idea to have in the area, Max didn't care much, as it was satisfying some of her urges. ANyway, it was a good way to been seen without actually been noticed, because sexual intercourse and intimacy were things that people instiinctively avoided to watch in public.

She grinned at Neko, who played with her collar and tag, while looking around from time to time or each time she could perceive someone nearby. It would for sure, be one of her most fun surveillance job ever !

Since Max no doubt wasn't wearing, or paying attention to, her radio while she and Neko amuse each other eventually Gremlin tracks her down (a tracer bug in the headset?).
"If you could can fin' tha time head into tha shop an' take a look aroun' an' see if anything about the set-up er security catch yer attention. Yer pretty hard ta miss, but don't make to big a spectacle a yerself."

(( Look back a few posts where I described the layout of the shop for Talon. ))

OOC: I still have all those luck points to expend. What roll am I suppose to do, and what are the targets?

(( Really depends ... what do you wish to accomplish? If you want to check "public" records that's one thing, if you want to hack into the shops security system that's quite another (and probably requires you to tap into their shop LAN since it's probably isolated from the net). Why I ask, what do you want to know? Sorry no "general fishing" expedition possible, you already did that getting what you got earlier. ))

OOC: So I need to go inside the shop to try to hack it? It seems the risk don't pay.
(( That's the "fun" of burglary! And unfortunately for you I'm actually an IRL "professional" when it comes to security systems :p [as I've mention in other part of these forums]. What you need to do is tap into the wiring for their security system ... so if the shop had say cameras watching the exterior of the shop ... there would be wires outside the shop you could tap into. ))

OOCHow dificutl it would be to Hernando?
(( Since Hernando has no "Electronics" skill and doesn't have the necessary tools/equipment ... three guesses. Gremlin however has both. And it might be that one of the Solos has the skill but not the tools/equipment ... Gremlin is always ready to share. Guess Hernando will just have to ask. ))

Max grins with all her teeth to Gremlin's orders, and breaks a series of breathetaking kisses with Neko, grabbing her by the hand and leading her to the pawnshop entry. "Alrighty. We are in for a scouting tour. Neko wanted to buy a charged battery, she might find a charger in there."

With that pun, they both entered to shop, slowly walking around, as normal new clients would do when they discover the place. She would take her time to make out openly and grope and such, to offer people a show. But this time she was dedicated to her scouting, trying to see where the entrances for upstairs and downstairs might be. Stairs or elevators included.
She'd count the number of camera, movement scanners, and detection lasers they might be; if any.

OOC: ok i'm now in china for RL for a month; Meaning I can't use the dice roller, so i can't roll. Can anyone roll for me please ? One security system and one Perception roll
No sign of stairs or elevators in this portion of the shop. As to scanners etc. ... (6 and 9).

As to a battery charger ... as it just so happens they do have a couple that'll do the job.

Neko's fingers lightly stroke Maxine's curves as the make out in their partially secluded ally way. After a series of breath taking kisses with Maxine the other takes her right hand and leads her towards the pawn shop entrance. Neko's tail twitches to point at the other door leading into the building as her free hand reaches down like it is adjusting her jump suit.

"Very good we just might find a magnetic induction charger here," Neko replies to Maxine.

The two flirt and make out as they browse through the store. Finding the charger they need Neko pays cash for the charger before she leads Maxine out of the store before leading her to "Electric Boutique" next door.
