More interesting tournament rules?
Each player has to have 5 decks, each in a faction.
Then player ban a deck of the opponent.'
And then, if there are still decks with same leader, whenever a player choose 1 deck that share a leader with opponent decks, it is forced to have a mirror match. Such forced mirror match only happen once. (In rare cases, if both players chose a deck that opponent has same leader, the one suppose to play first in that game's choice will go mirror match)
And then still the first player win 3 matches win.
5 decks start up---more diversity, especially we are getting more and more leaders. Also there will be a deck that player doesn't have to win with, and providing more choices regarding deck choosing, as players need to think about which deck has upper hand with opponent's certain deck style.
Banning 1 deck. Where players need to think both about whether to ban the supposely strongest deck of opponent, or use the ban to avoid mirror match.
Mirror match--- mirror match is usually the most fun match to watch, especially high-tier players'. So force a mirror match when there is a chance can make the tounament more fun. (And if certain meta is used by both, this will be a good show of strength).
Trying to explain with example:
PlayerX has decks that have leader: 1,2,3,4,5
PlayerY has decks that have leader:1,2,3,B,C
First, coin flip decides that playerX go first in 1st, 3rd 5th match.
PlayerX banned playerY's B leader deck.
PlayerY banned playerX's 1 leader deck, thus preventing mirror match of leader 1 decks.
Then, playerX picked his leader 2 deck, playerY picked his leader 3 deck.
Because this is first match (playerX go first, thus minor disadvantage), playerX forced a leader 2 deck mirror match, both of them have to use leader 2 deck.
After first match is over, picking leader 3 will not result in another forced mirror match (aka mirror match mechnic only force once)
In the end playerX is 2:2 against player2. playerX has leader 4 and 5, while playerY has 1,C.
Then because playerY's remaining decks 1 and C share similar style, playerX can free to chose which of his decks has a better chance to win such style, and picking that one so he supposely can win easier
