I've barely been able to play since 0.8.72 released. When I do, I get to complete maybe one game out of 10+ (game loss with no reason, or the "lost connection" error nearly every game). If anybody with consistent access has time, can you please scan the OP for anything information that is no longer relevant (so I can update it). New players, can you confirm there have been no changes to the starter cards?

      Hi there,
sorry I'm new and not sure whether I can write here. I couldn't find the right topic.
Could someone explain me how can I hit 2/3 opponents cards?
for example : I have a card that strikes 2 opposing cards with 3 points... now if they are not in the same row..how do I target them. I saw some opponents did so...
thanks a lot for your help

Bubcik There are four types of spell targeting.

        1) Targeted: You can select the target (and sometimes the adjacent cards). These are limited to one row. Example: Manticore Venom.
        2) Conditional: All targets on the battlefield that meet the condition will be hit. This usually translate to all the strongest or weakest targets. Examples: Scorch and Epidemic.
        3) Random: Selects one or more random opposing units on the battlefield. Example Ragh Nar Roog.
        4) Triggered: Target will be hit when the ambush is triggered. Example Fireball Trap.

Since i can't create topic on my own here yet, i'll ask here.
So i wonder how exactly Renew golden card works. It say it return non-golden unite from graveyard on table. But does it means it will be count as 'played' again, thus activate all abilities on 'been played' Or just plainly return it on battlefield and no 'on play' abilities will be activated?

In particular i wonder how would in work on Nekker Warrior card. Which is on been played will create 2 copies of another unite on table and will put them in graveyard.
So, if one or more of my Nekker Warriors is dead, and i will play Renew on them, and put them on the table. Will activate its special ability again, and will allow me to create another two copies of another unite, or will it be just been put on battlefield and nothing else?

Renew can only resurrect a gold card from the graveyard. The resurrected card will be played onto the board and its ability will trigger again.

Oh, ok... well, that's a shame, i hoped i could resurrect Nekker with that card :P

Public Beta update started. I have updated the Starter deck contents (but not the advice yet - that is italicized to show it has not been updated.

Also, anybody who wants to assist reviewing the previous material can post here with update suggestions (especially info that is obsolete).

Is Ciri still a level up reward? I have to chose between her and Assassination right now.

also something like a general tier list of cards (ranking them from 1 to 5 stars or something) would be very helpful to decide which cards to pick from the last 3 cards in a keg. as a new player it's really hard to see which cards are good and which aren't.

It seems that all level up rewards are random now. Also, you can not just simply rate a card from 1 to 5. It's not as easy as that. As for choosing cards, you could focus on neutral cards first because those can be reused in other decks more easily. After that, you look for the card with the most utility. If you are still not sure about your choice, you can always ask for suggestions in this thread.

I don't think anybody has made it to level 20 yet to confirm since public beta began. However, since Decoy is now a starter deck card, I would say previous data on rewards can't be counted as accurate.

A general tier list may be difficult, since so much usability is based on the deck and the player. However, the Gwent Database has some card statistics (deck and leader usage) that can help make a choice (e.g. Assassination shows use in 9.4% of Nilfgaard Decks w/i 30 days - though these numbers will be skewed the first month until closed beta numbers are over 30 days old.

Starter deck suggestions have been updated. Please note: the suggestions are limited to Bronze card selection (as getting a silver or gold could change your strategy; this list is to help you for the early levels until you can get or craft the silvers and golds you want).

I couldn't find the usual "newbie questions" thread, and since I don't have enough posts to open up my own thread, I hope you'll forgive me for hijacking this one for a question.

From what I've gathered I can craft a gold card for 800 scraps, and upgrade it into premium for 400 dust, losing the regular card in the process. Alternatively I can spend 1600 scraps to get the premium card from the get go.
So in short, and for the purpose of upgrading cards, the scraps to dust ratio is 2:1, and while dust can be only used for upgrading normal into premium cards, scraps can be used both for making normal and premium cards. Am I correct in my assumptions, and if I'm not could anyone point out mistakes in reasoning? Thanks in advance.
