Question about Villentretenmerth

The title pretty much says what this will be about. I just got this card in a pack, and I am not precisely sure how this card works, or in what kind of situation one would use it. At first sight, how does this differ from a Scorch with a 3 round timer?

The first and obvious difference besides the timer is the 8 gold body on your side of the board. The effect itself works the same as Scorch once it triggers, but because of the timer it requires some different planning and strategy.

The timer can work to your advantage to pressure the opponent. This is most noticeable during the final round, especially when you don't have card advantage, you can still play Villenmethingy to get a Scorch of during the last turn.

Thanks for the replies. It's indeed a curious card at first glance because of how you construct around it, and I do realise that with the proper planning it could be very valuable.
