You should add, how they helped to defeat North against Nilfgaard. They were presented in game like just couple of women, thirsting for power, but they were different in books. It was plan of the Lodge, how to build powerfull army, which could won. Their plan brought names like Adieu, Abatemarco,... on the battlefield and gave enough money to build strong army. Your quotation of Philippa is perfect - I think this exaple was just small show, how they worked in international politics.

To add that is absolutly required read the books first.
To do all this work without reading any of books show how CDPR has managed to convey much of the political complexity of Spakwosky in 2 games.KoP is great, CDPR are awsome.
