How to limit frame rate in the Editor

If the high idle frame rate in the Editor bothers you or your graphics card, you can use MSI Afterburner (the successor to RivaTuner) to put a limit on the frame rate.

Anyway, the frame rate limit setting in MSI Afterburner is buried deep enough to require some navigating, so I made up some screenshots to show the steps.

1. LAUNCH MSI AFTERBURNER, AND SELECT "SETTINGS"

2. ON THE "ON-SCREEN DISPLAY" TAB, SELECT "MORE"

3. ON THE RIVATUNER PAGE, SELECT "+" TO ADD REDKIT

4. THE REDKIT PROGRAM IS IN THE Witcher 2\bin FOLDER; IT'S CALLED editor.exe

5. CLICK THE WRENCH TO GET THE ON-SCREEN DISPLAY SERVER PROPERTIES, AND SET THE FRAME RATE

6. LAUNCH REDKIT, AND SEE THE FRAME RATE LIMIT ENFORCED

(If you don't already have MSI Afterburner, I highly recommend it. It's one of the best third-party control and mionitoring programs for high-performance graphics cards you can get. It also does on-screen display and strip charts of operating statistics, and it has good overclocking and fan profile controls. And it's free and works with any graphics card. Kudos to Alexey Nicolaychuk for developing it and MSI for supporting it for everybody.)
