Iorveth's injury and Phillipa's escape

Ok, maybe I should know this, but do we get any info on Iorveth's injury at the end when he's lying in the cart? We know he has her dagger so I assumed they duked it out, but somehow she escapes and curses him with a spell...but how does she escape?

I just played that sequence of choices, and you don't get any clear information. The kaedweni soldier took the dagger from Iorveth's body, and mentioned that his injuries can only been caused by a mage. Iorveth himself is unconscious and Triss volunteers to teleport him to Vergen.

That is all the info you get.

What I think happened is that Iorveth went in the dungeons alone, escorted Phillipa to her quarters and forces her to open the chest. But ofcourse to do that, he had to uncuff her, they fight the elemental together OR she just handed it to him. Then she blasts Iorveth and flees.

What's important is that Phillipa allowed Iorveth to take the dagger. Phillipa must have fled after Iorveth gets the dagger, because you can't fight an elemental when you are unconscious.

I don't know what happened as well because I went for Triss. I'm guessing he was taken as an enemy by Philipa when he went for her and got totally two faced, judging from her twitchy firey reactions to noise to mice and people in that cutscene.

I'm of two minds about it. Maybe Philippa was not at her best, with her owl senses out of practice, and Iorveth is pretty agile. Or Philippa wanted him to live to regret crossing her.

All I'm more leaning towards is that whatever exchange Iorveth and Philippa had if any wasn't too friendly. Even without sight she was sharp enough to burn the rat and two soldiers by sound alone. The rest will remain a blur for now

I look at it this way. Iorveth got the dagger, which means he either fought the elemental, or still had Phillipa to bypass it. Is it possible though, that the elemental caused his injuries, and not Phillipa? Iorveth could have defeated the elemental, but barely, collapsing from his wounds after the fight.
