[Mod request] Yes, another, jogging anim topic, but from different point of view

[Prologue]

In prerelease there were 2 components which were deleted /changed- animation of jogging - was changed for currently vanilla one and stopping animation(transition) commonly called as "jogging animation".
Previous topic was about using stopping animation to swap vanilla jogging animation. And I am not surprised there was no success - people were trying to use animation which never supposed to be jogging animation. There was told it is broken in some way but in fact its role was just different(transition to stop).

So now I would like to present what is my request about. Please watch both movies:

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=dlq2t91ZUGw <---- compare jog when Geralt leaves Novi

As you can see in vanilla exists another jogging animation which was used in demo and this one works properly in vanilla, reacts well on different shapes of ground, etc. I believe that the only thing to do is finding this animation in Geralts anims and swap it with vanilla jog.

If you don't believe it exists I suggest to jog on the stairs - I tried it myself - you will see, like in the movie above, the move of arms is changing - it is different animation.
Thank you for attention :)

* Last word: compare these two movies https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=fn0x-1040g8 and https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=rPm3NXWcEec anims looks different, don't they ;)

"man ex run f" or "ex man run f" Is the animation you are looking for tho I tried it, and of course failed. It might be just some unusable leftover which needs to be edited for further use. I'm not sure about that.

Also, it's not possible to import your own animations to game so even if you would edit it, there is no way you can import it in.

So unless someone finds a way to import animations, you won't see it in-game.

My theory is that if someone could make Geralt an NPC certain E3 things would work like the jogging working on more than just flat surfaces and the E3 sword positions.

But I have no idea how to do that.

Edit: Hey just noticed my videos.

The sword position is also a thing that i would love to have back, when walking, running, and while on horse! Especially while on horse!!!

dvirzigel1 @PublikasE3 Sorry guys but I think you didn't understand what I wrote. I am not talking about any unused animation, moreover I am not even talking about NPC animation but animation which Geralt already uses in vanilla - but only when he jog upstairs.

dvirzigel1 I know your movies. There are two more modders who tried using the same animation.

What I am talking about is different animation which propably you are not using. If I am wrong please explain me why animation showed in first movie(my first post) works when the ground isn't flat moreover it is working for Geralts skeleton.

I have suggestion for you, of course if you have time and will - search all Geralts animations(not NPC) and tell me if there is another jogging animation or not. ;)

First off, you can't use animation which is made for going uphill to use it for forward jogging. That would look bad.
So as this banned user said PulikasE3 , this is the animation you've seen in 35 gameplay video.

It suffers from stuttering, dunno if it's fixable. I will try to do anything to make it for full usable state. But I'm not sure what exactly is needed, also I lack skill, I just replaced it now.

Will inform about updates tho.

you have to speed up the animation for the jogging a little bit usually around 10-20% to help fix the stuttering. Thats what i had to do when i sped up geralts running animation by 45-50%. It helped smoothen out the stutter. man_geralt_movement animation file is the one that i edited for smoother running so you could look into that file. I edited 2 different files for each animation that i sped up. So far i got faster bomb throwing, yrden animations are faster, geralt which runs faster or the same speed as roaches full sprint :) and slightly faster crossbow shooting. Havent tested if i speed up the crossbow reloading correctly. I am trying to work on making roach and the boat go faster. Dont think i saw anything related to roach in animations though.
