The Witcher 3 Wishlist

+
I'm reserving my wishlist till I get my hands on the Witcher 3 and actually spend some good time playing it. Reason being that most of the things that I would include in the wishlist seem to have been implemented in the Witcher 3. For example, to be able to explore vast majority of areas, being able to swim any swimmable areas, npcs react to their surroundings and behave dynamically towards Geralt and other stuffs that contribute to the immersion.

I still want the horse storage. ;__;

I may be giving a slighly different wishlist here but I think it's close anyhow and I sincerely wish that CDPR devs don't get ahead of themselves and end up being too greedy and commercialist upon the great success TW3 maybe receiving...

I think Bioware is heading towards that or has already in that state (EA I'm looking at you)

Suggestion for patch: Visible health/stamina textures/animations on characters (so you can play without health/stamina bar).

Just throwing out this suggestion for perhaps the "enhanced" edition of TW3 down the road if there is one.

As a fan of minimal huds or context sensitive ones (IE things disappear when not needed) I love being able to play with as little HUD/UI as possible in games, I just rather watch the actual game and immerse myself in that then have other things on my screen.

One of the things I see talked about on various gaming forums in the W3 topics are the Health bars and the people wanting to turn them off. The issue is when in combat how you need to see these to get a general idea of how a fights going or how your health is.

There is a way around this though, and it's actually been done before in other games, with it's roots going back as far as Doom and other games, like Resident Evil.

A more comparable game however is Severance (aka Blade of Darkness). In this game when your character took damage it was visibly shown on their character model.Mainly with cuts/bruises. The lower your health the more damage and severity of it. From little cuts at first, to a huge "gash" appearing on their backs (Since that was the main area you could see) and other things. You could simply look at your character and you knew "I need health fast).

When your character was out of stamina they visibly looked tired, they were slow, they panted their breath and again, you easily knew you needed to take a break to regain stamina.

So why not do this for The Witcher 3? Even if it's something you can only do on Humanoid enemiesi (IE to save time and not have to do "stamina" animations for every-monster that doesn't use a humanoid body/rig).

It's not that complicated to do from a technical standpoint. You are simply applying a decal that is based on the health level. So you could have say "5" different decals at each 20% of health you are missing (IE one for 80, 60, 40, 20, etc). With each one worse then the previous to signify the health level. As the player takes damage (or enemy) the game simply applies these decals over the model of the character.

That would add a lot to the game for those of us that would like to play without health/stamina bars on our screens and I think it'd be a worthwhile thing to add in the future.

Good idea. Enemy health bars floating around the screen look horrible, just go by how covered in blood/ichor/whatever they are. Ideally wounded combatants would give away their state by moving and fighting slower, etc.

Hopefully some modders will pretty quickly come up with better (much more minimalistic and context dependent) HUDs for W3.

OK Here is my wish:

To be able to guard, and everytime you do it, the camera centers itself!!

Which game did this? Was it the Zelda games? Can't remember right now, only thing I now is that is freaking awesome, because it gives you a sense like you are in complete charge of the character! You are focused on what's in front of you, it helps you aim better, fight better and it also helps with orientation.

To me THIS IS MY MOST WANTED WISH :p

Witcher 3 is now over and now its time to talking about Witcher 4. After the Success of Witcher 3 CD Projekt RED is going to release Witcher 4. if we see the last release from witches then Witcher 4 game would be come in 2018-2020. Every Witcher lover have their wishlists those they want to share with everyone and want to see their wishlist in the upcoming game. I also have the wishlists those i want to see in Witcher 4. Here is my wishlists.

1. More Refined Targets
2. Better control and handling
3. Advance sneak system
4. Epic boss-fight:
5. Mini Games
6. Surroundings and Environment
7. Creditable Tutorial
A good wishlist for Witcher 4 with description whose i want in Witcher 4 is listed here

All incredible ideas. Hope the REDs are seeing this. I'm gonna have to create a separate mega thread for all the crazy ideas I have written down.

If we are talking about Witcher 3, I'd love to get another DLC. That would make my day if not year... but guess its far from reality.

Otherwise for upcoming games I'd love to see some story around the other witcher schools (preferably the Viper school, dual weilders). Dont think CD Project need to make more improvement on the game, The Witcher 3 is already great at it is, so keep it similar to that so people will recognize alot from the previous game and dont need to learn more stuff. Only thing that would be obvious to improve is the graphic is possible.

What can I say I'm honestly happy as the Witcher 3 game turned out to be, just happy to get another story from the same world as Geralt lived in.

Yeah I would have loved a Saskia/Iorveth quest-line of some sorts in an expansion. Sadly it seems we're all done with expansions.

I'm not sure what awaits as far as whether there will be any future witcher titles. GWENT is pretty awesome if you're into competitive card games. CP2077 will hopefully be really good, and there's some other as of yet unnamed game that CDPR is working on to be released between now and 2021 (It was referenced in their 2016 financial reports - https://www.cdprojekt.com/en/capital-group/strategy/ ).

They stated that during the time period 2017-2021:
  • Expansion of our core franchises with additional media content and product lines.
Might misunderstood this, but I sure get my hopes up by reading this. Witcher franchise is a very popular series so I have so hard thinking they will quit making content and additional material here.

If I had to make a guess I honestly think a remake of the old witcher games (1 & 2) wouldn't be so far off a prediction, and I'm not giving up on hoping to get a new DLC release somewhere in the future.

What I'm looking forward now; is the new netflix tv-series about the witcher, hopefully it will be good :)

They have about 100 people working on GWENT, which is related to the Witcher franchise (it is even planned to include multiple 10+ hours long single player story campaigns, one already revealed), so the statement is correct even without any new Witcher game. At the moment, CDPR have two AAA games in development or pre-production, of these, Cyberpunk 2077 is already well known, the other could be anything. As far as I know, it has been denied that the second game would be a Witcher title, which suggests it is going to be a new IP. Although of course if it was actually Witcher, it would likely still be denied for now regardless and only revealed at the planned time for the marketing campaign. :)

In any case, from what I have gathered, a new Witcher game is most likely to feature a new protagonist and not actually be called "The Witcher 4". It has been confirmed previously that there are no plans for more Witcher 3 DLC, Geralt sequel(s), or remakes.

I understand, thanks for letting me known about the DLCs and remakes.

About the new protagonist; even though I'll miss the previous characters I'd be glad and more than happy to see what CD Project brings to the table. Since it coming from CD Project I'm sure that it will be madewell and entertaining story/adventurre.

Only thing that makes me a bit worry is the time, can't say I have enough time to enjoy a whole new witcher game in the future. But I'll sure look out there for any news about this :)
