Is there the use of stealth in THE WITCHER ?

I have just discovered THE WITCHER series. I have started to play THE WITCHER ee. I was curious to know if the skill is available in any of the series ?

There are mild references, but nothing too hardcore.

Very little (or none?) in the first game (although choice of route to obtain a favourable location is possible, you do really need to fight or run most of the time).

The second does have short sequences where not being spotted is essential.

Guess there is no stealth skill...................,which might allow a surprise attack..

None in the first. As Lieste said, there are a few specific occasions in the 2nd game where he goes stealthy, but it's not a major part of the game. He usually just wades in, sword ready.
