The gamescom qualifier for Cyberpunk Cosplay Contest will take place on Friday, August 23rd at 3:30 PM on Xbox Stage in Hall 8!

We’re excited to announce Cyberpunk 2077 – Afterlife: The Card Game, a standalone physical card game created in collaboration with an international board game publisher CMON!

Cyberpunk 2077 – Afterlife: The Card Game thrusts players into the dark alleyways of Night City, where ruthless gangs clash with corporations in an endless war for money, power, and control.

In the game, you become Fixers — databrokers and masterminds of Night City. Your job is to recruit cyberpunks, equip them with gear, and send them out on missions. Each successful mission raises your Street Cred, with mission survivors becoming Veterans, imparting their knowledge and experience to newer recruits. In this chrome-infused world, Street Cred is the only currency that matters.

And nothing comes cheap in Night City. You need to balance between what you want and what you can actually afford. Using an innovative drafting mechanic and special dashboard, you must decide which cards you want to buy, and which to sacrifice for funds in order to purchase new ones.

We basically made a choice between offering many more or less superficial options, or to choose three that we can actually make interesting and meaningful. Your lifepath won't just decide how you start the game and what your background is, but it can also influence the rest of the game however you choose - but that does not mean that choosing a lifepath forces you into any way of playing the game.
Do you want to play a street kid who grew up in the city surrounded by gangs that then chooses to betray her heritage and work with the corpos? Go ahead, and the game will react to it.

So I hope this will be really exciting in terms of roleplaying. We're working hard to make it as cool as possible!

I guess we can already collect ideas for npc dialogue if we'll add that possibility.
But jokes aside, you can choose different kinds of clothing for your character, but we'll still have to decide the exact limits. So for now I can't give an exact answer yet. We'll keep it in mind!

Making a replica of the existing characters is quite boring, it would be much more fun if we can make our own costumes and characters

What I really hope happens is another contest (after the game comes out) that gives people a opportunity to cosplay as a character they have built in game. That would be a much bigger and crazier contest!
Maybe have a 2077 account as proof, submit it somehow...like signing up was giving CDPR your character build, then a bit later the contest was held. Take note, @Alicja.

However, I don't meet the requirement of being 18 years of age. Is there any way I could bypass this without breaking any rules or laws?

Unfortunately there's no way to bypass that rule, the game will be 18+ and so is the contest. When exactly is your 18th birthday?

Any more characters getting the same hi-rez photo treatment? Perhaps a certain silver handed homie? I'm still wondering what his shoes look like...

We might get some Trauma Team units. As for our silver-handed friend, his model is still being worked on, once it's final we will share the screenshots

I really like what we've seen so far, and I don't want them to get rid of that. I'm saying, please keep that, but also include high tech chrome cities in there. what I mean by that is that this is a very big singular city (as in ONE city, and I do understand that) but I hope that at least some of those buildings in a certain area are very high tech, in contrast to the rest of the areas.

You will see both. To give an example: in the City Center you will see luxury, as it is the heart of corporations, but in areas like Pacifica you will see a lot of poverty and gang presence.

one of devs already stated a large portion of buildings will not be explorable but that was to avoid just open empty spaces.

I can

Night City is very big and you will be able to enter many buildings, but not all of them. We're putting quality over quantity and like Cargan said - we don't want to have empty buildings in the game. Most of the places you can visit serve some purpose to the story we're telling.

That isn't what I asked about, though. I'm asking if there will be another offer of coupons for new preorders when the US store opens. As in, will people (like me) who waited on preordering the game due to confusion about the EU/US store stuff get another chance to get a coupon from preordering the game at some future date or have we permanently missed out?

I'm sorry, but it was a one-time offer.

We hope to expand to as many markets as possible in the future, but for now I don't have any new info I could give in that regard, sorry!

Like we posted in the FAQ, all preorders placed before 10 PM UTC on June 17th will grant a discount coupon.

Anybody who didn't use their coupon in EU store, will be able to use one in US store after it launches (details will follow later).

Also, as already mentioned, due to supply delay the EU code has been extended until the end of July
