We are currently working on resolving the sound cooking issues that some of you have reported where sometimes the modified sounds are not getting cooked and included into the packed mod after running "Save and Publish".

Until then, please be advised to use the Publish > Cook Mod Sounds option to cook the sounds of your mod standalone as an additional step right after using Publish > Save and Publish mod project. Once that's done, head over to your mod's root folder and in the packed directory locate the newly generated soundspc.cache file and copy it manually to <The Witcher 3 Installation Folder>/mods/<your_mod>/content.

Our goal is to ensure that the game offers an enjoyable experience for both veterans and newcomers. If you’ve played our previous titles, it’s a fresh story set in a world you know and love, featuring all the elements you’d expect from us (gripping narrative, engaging and meaningful side quests with memorable characters and, of course, an effort to push the envelope when it comes to certain gameplay elements – more on that in the future, obviously). At the same time, for new players, it’s the perfect entry point. We have to remember that the last Witcher game was released a long time ago, so we want the new entry in the series to be accessible to gamers who haven't played the previous ones as well. Rest assured, we’re making this game in the true CD PROJEKT RED spirit, with all the qualities you’ve come to expect from us.

Welcome to this episode of It’s All About You!

We hope The Witcher’s legendary tales will keep you cozy this winter, because every detail counts. And you’ve understood that, thanks to your incredible fan creations this year. A heartfelt thanks for that!—they truly bring our community to life. Happy Holidays and Happy New Year!

It’s All About You is excited to see your submissions—let’s make next year even more spectacular! Submit your creations here: https://cdprojektred.com/AAY

Next year we’re celebrating the 10th anniversary of The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt! What better way to commemorate all these years of adventures and monster slaying than through part of the game itself - its music!

The Witcher in Concert will be an innovative blend of cutting-edge visuals & gameplay from The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt alongside the original soundtrack composed by Marcin Przybyłowicz. Freshly arranged just for this occasion and bolstered by co-composers Percival Schuttenbach as well as a professional ensemble, this concert tour promises to be unforgettable.

When and where will this happen?
  • First, we’ll hold a couple of concerts in Poland and in Boston, United States, in May 2025 to celebrate the anniversary itself!
  • After that, we’re going on a tour, visiting cities in Europe later in 2025 and in North America in the first quarter of 2026.
Stay tuned for more details, as we’ll be unveiling specific dates and cities on the official website at https://thewitcher.com/concert

Warm congratulations to our winners, and a huge thank you to everyone who shared their amazing fall-inspired creations. Don’t forget — the Main Category of our contest is still open. Submit now:

With the autumn equinox behind us, fall now reigns supreme on the Continent.

Get cozy, grab a warm drink, and submit your fall-inspired mod to our #REDkit challenge by tomorrow, 3:59 PM CEST.

With our first two modding challenges, summer also came to an end. The days now are getting shorter and a chill (unrelated to the Wild Hunt) can be felt in the air. In this final challenge, we’d like you to show us how fall can transform the Continent. Maybe trees across Toussaint turn red and lose their leaves, or residents of Velen redecorate their homes for the upcoming Saovine… Or maybe you can conjure something up that we couldn’t even dream of!

Submit your work by uploading it on Nexus Mods at https://www.nexusmods.com/witcher3 and sharing a link in the submission form on the official contest website: https://thewitcher.ly/REDkitContest. There, you will also find a set of Frequently Asked Questions to guide you.

Here are a few things to remember:

• you need to participate individually, and you can only submit one mod per challenge, but you can take part in as many challenges as you like;

• entries in this challenge can be submitted until September 24th, 15:59 CEST;

• to qualify for the contest, mods must not have been published before April 16th, 2024, 13:00 CEST;

• submitted mods can be updated until the submission phase deadline;

• challenges are judged by CD PROJEKT RED and Yigsoft team members.

We are moving on to the second modding challenge of The Witcher 3 REDkit Modding Contest.

Speaking of moving — in this challenge, you will become the NPC puppeteer. We task you with creating a new animation for any character besides Geralt. It could be a cool pose that goes with Photo Mode, an entire choreographed dance routine, or anything in between.

Submit your work by uploading it on Nexus Mods at https://www.nexusmods.com/witcher3 and sharing a link in the submission form on the official contest website: https://thewitcher.ly/REDkitContest. There, you will also find a set of Frequently Asked Questions to guide you.
