Game crashes after cutscenes of prologue

Yes well I try playing the enhanced edition and so I begin using my last saved spot from the witcher 1 and I also do the tutorial. when the game starts it shows me the first cutscenes and cinematics and then I pick the moment I want Geralt to remember a scene from the battle. Then it shows me the other cutscene and just when I'm about to jump into the game it crashes. It happened in all the 3 options. It's just like the gameplay won't start. The tutorial works just fine but the inside game won't play. I didn't had problems when playing the non-enhanced some time ago. So yeah that's pretty much it. Any suggestions?

Also, I had a problem with the launching with some fmodex.dll things. I fixed that, although that's what I think. Can this be related?

What version of the game are you running ? By that i mean was it patched to EE by yourself or was it purchased as already patched to EE .

Possibly related to fmodex.dll . How did you fix it ?

Hey. First of all I bought the game normally from a store. It was without enhanced edition. But I had it already unistalled before I install it again and then install the enhanced. I have also downloaded all the patches till 3.2(that's the last right?).

About the fmodex.dll, when I was trying to launch the game it said fmodex.dll not found(or something like that). So I searched the internet and found a post in this forum talking about the same problem. In some point in the thread he said he copied the fmodex.dll from the bin folder of the unenhanced. I did the very same and the launcher did also the same with the fmod_event.dll and fmod_event_net.dll. So yes I did the same with those thingies and copied them from the bin folder of the unenhanced. Then the game normally started with the new intro and stuff. Also the menu at the beggining is black, I thought it was programmed to be like that but now I guess it's part of the problem.

Since I said that much I might as well say that first I installed the game on my main hard drive but then I decided it would be better at the other hard drive. So I copied the whole The Witcher 2 folder and pasted it in the other hard drive and also deleting the previous one. Note the game was not enhanced by that time and I also gave it a try for the prologue and played normally. Then I downloaded all those patches and start having problems.
So yeah... I screwed up a lot.

Edit: Any suggestion would be fine. Thanks for anyone who looks up to my problem.

OK . I think i got it all .If you applied 3.1 or 3.2 before installing the EE that`s where the problem is coming from .
Do you still have all the patches downloaded including the EE ? If so then reinstall the game appropriately . After installing the game apply these patches in order
0->1.35 - http://en.thewitcher.com/patch1-35/
1.35->3.0 - http://en.thewitcher.com/enhancededition/
3.0->3.1 - http://en.thewitcher.com/patch3-1/
3.1->3.2 - http://en.thewitcher.com/patch3-2/

Or you can claim your backup copy from GOG with the EE already patched in
http://www.gog.com/en/witcher2/backup/

So I will not let it autodownload the patches? Ok I think I'll try it.
To sum up, I will install the game normally then download each of those patches through link that you sented and then the game should play normally. Well, thanks, I'll try it and then tell if it is fixed.

Um yeah, I tried all that, reinstalling the game and downloading the patches from this site with the order Tommy showed. I had the same problems. I also had a problem again with the fmodex.dll which I tried copying it again from the unenhanced edition. Then the game again launched and after the first cutscenes, it crashes just like before.

I am obviously doing something wrong but what should I do to make fmodex.dll appear normally in the enhanced version.
Also, I tried the unenhanced version before installing any patches and it worked normal. Does maybe my computer has a problem with the enhanced edition of the game? Damn madness. Any suggestion is nice.

There are actually 3 files related to fmodex .
fmodex.dll - 824 KB
fmodexL.dll - 913 KB
fmodexp.dll - 184 KB
and 4 fmod entries of which i assume all are connected as they all have the same date of 4/22/2011
If you have high speed internet with no caps then the link may be of use to you as it contains the EE already patched in . http://www.gog.com/en/witcher2/backup/

It took almost 2 days but the download is completed. The installation has finished and I am able to play the game.
It must be the only game that took me so much effort just to play it. Thanks tommy for helping.
