Cyberpunk 2077 - Your Ideas For A Dream RPG

Hey CD Projekt, I would like to see some major aspects for the game done right (well for me they're major (-_-) ) :
1) First of all, Exploration
I want to see a massive world filled with secrets and old world relic's , for me it was the most interesting part of Witcher, finding a cave or a note that leads to a massive series of quests or Dungeons.( Examples: Fallout, Horizon Zero Dawn, Zelda, Metro 2033, Stalker) all this exploration feeds my need for unknown.
2 ) Of course a great sound design and soundtrack is needed for an amazing experience, but i think u will handle (DaftPunk, maybe some Scandroid, some Soundcloud/Youtube channels are doing such amazing cyberpunk music )
3) A system that will simulate the changes the player had done to the world, for example if you shoot in a wall the hole will remain where forever.
Of course with some limitations. But it would be really cool if you kill a person in public for example and the ambulance comes right away, but it you kill somebody in the sewer, the body will remain there and will start to decompose, and the main character will say something like „You were uglier than you were alive", other example, you destroyed a window of an important bank and the next day than u pass by, u see the workers instaling a new window.

5)Some kind of territory or POI (which you can develop) war. establish your group, recruit, spare enemies, brainwash them etc.

I read in an article that you get "street cred" by solving quests that is needed to unlock areas and can be increased by wearing different clothes.
So the question is how sophisticated this is, if there is just one reputation for everything or reputation for different groups and group clothing.

Probably different groups ,different reputations, i hope that there is a thing that one set of clothes gives you boost with one faction but if you don't change and go to the faction enemies you might expect trouble

Exactly what I meant. This would be really nice, if it will happen is a different thing.
The question here is, what does the demo contain? Already all mechanics or just some stripped down subset of mechanics needed for the demonstration.

I already read it, unfortunately they only mention "street cred". Also for what I read it seems to be not a full version but a cut but his can also be a misinterpretation of the text or the author just has not written down everything he saw.
Without further information it is currently just guessing.

The mechanic can also be like this:
One reputation value that increases over time. Clothes that give you a certain boost for that reputation but also weaknesses.
E.g. you have to go into a certain area but you don't have enough rep at the moment or you played in a way where you didn't get enough, so you can still go there by getting certain clothes but therefor you have to deal with downsides (not being able to wear your protective armor or using some abilities/having lower stats as long as you wear it).

Additionally to the only one rep value and boost clothes, clothes mark you as friendly with certain groups but also hostile to others. This would keep it simple but give a lot of options. Having different rep values for different factions can cause a lot of troubles, you can get easily stuck in progress (being hostile to everyone), this has to be considered for story progress and story telling which gives the devs limits. Or you have to have the option to increase rep at any time. Which leads to more trouble. Either you end up in doing repetitive work to gain rep, which is odd and also immersion suffers, if you made yourself the arch nemesis of a group it would be strange if they would be your friends after doing some side jobs for them. Or instead of doing repetitive work you can just do one job which is also odd because of immersion break and also makes the whole rep system a bit useless.

Honestly, I find it more egregious than the first-person perspective controversy that they're reducing 2020's class system to a 3 "skill tree" system that emulates Witcher 3's the most and just slapping "Solo/Netrunner/Techie" names on it, but...

Where's my dedicated Cop character that the original teaser was focused on? Or Fixer? Or a Nomad?

Hello. I have an awesome idea for your game. Cyberpunk 2077 definetly needs karaoke! Just imagine - after hard netrunner day you are going to some bar (maybe with that Meredith girl), activate automate and sing something really cool like on video which i added to this message. I'm sure it will be cool feature to make some diversity in gameplay.

Brilliant example (game about japan criminal underworld):

Yes at first this sounds odd but on the other side you can still build all of them in game I think. At least the skill trees would not stop the devs to do so. At least what the current interviews/articles suggest is exactly that, you have full freedom to become whatever you want, that includes all the given classes. Of course it depends on how they do it in the end.

Sure it may be possible to build all classes but if it is done bad, all of them kinda feel the same.
In my case I can't decide which system is better, classes or no strict classes. If there is a class system it depends on how they change gameplay and I often can't decide which to choose (as you don't know how they will play). And in the end I only see the flaws of the chosen class and stop playing them (had that in Diablo 2and also WoW). When I have the freedom I often end up in being an all rounder because I can't decide on what to focus or want to try everything. Or I just end up at choosing the same every walkthrough (Skyrim).

For CP the idel solution for me would be:
First you choose your past which already gives you a certain direction at the beginning of the game but you can still change during the game. Maybe depending on the past you have chosen you can't become everything you want (e.g. only 75% of possible "classes" or skills are available). And of course specializations that depend on your decisions and your character development and you have to "unlock" them by doing a certain quest line.

Can we expect this too happen? As "The God of Darksynth" I think not having Perturbator's contribution to the game would be trully saddening and a very big missed opportunity for a game that basically wishes to immerse its audience in everything that bears the meaning of "Cyberpunk". Just immagine, the feeling of driving fast on a highway at night, the neon lights of Night City on the horizon and the gangs shooting at you while they chase you, and all of this under the intense, violent vibes of tracks like "Future Club" and "Humans are such easy prey".
Honestly it would be quite a turnoff if the game didnt feature any of Perturbator's auditive masterpieces. @CD_PROJEKT_RED

hi !

is this still an ongoing thread that CDPR looks from time to time ?

because I'd like to see something, a small "next-gen" detail that is "lacking" so much in most games: books. and I mean real books. not like deus ex's books, that inexplicably only contain 3 pages most of the time, but FULL 200+ PAGES BOOKS, or 25+ pages novels. you could also put books that fell in the public domain (philosophy would be very nice), I even thought compiling artworks in more expensive artbooks would also be nice but that would almost feel like breaking the 4th wall soooo maybe not...

I think it could be fantastic to be able to buy a decent selection of books via an ingame shop and read them on a PDA that would keep in memory the page you were reading when you closed it.
I think you could even organize a contest as part of the marketing campaign when the release will be near, and choose from various fan works and implement them in that way. you know, as an exchange between fans and devs.
I don't know the original cyberpunk community but I imagine there's already a good amount of stories written by fans over the years, maybe they would be thrilled to have them published in this way...

I've got a million ideas I keep to myself because you guys are already busy enough; but I thought this one worth sharing.

First of all, good morning to all of the forum and the CDPRED staff.

I was in a huge hype when I saw all that shows on the Xbox stage...

They interrupted Phil Spencer, they gave Hax all fucking ... All the commands on the screen that lot of code ...
User: RED...

It was really cool!
(I confess that I tried to put some code thinking it was a copy of the game or demo). :p

That's where the trailer comes from ... I've seen it several times. Even pausing to see if something different appears ... Maybe Ciri. Hahahaha
Anyway, very fucking how it all came out.
But after the staff said it was going to be in the first person. Dude dude
Putz ... Putz ... Putz ...
I like to play like that because I love the Halo franchise! And playing like that will be no problem. But even in Halo, I still hope for them to put an option to play 3rd Person (even though they already have some parts that are played that way). Just like in GTAV and other games.that,

But this news has lowered Hype ... I have no doubt that the game will be of excellent quality. But I was already thinking about another type of gameplay ...

RPG + Hack and slash!
Man, I really wanted to kick ass, if you have in the game (no Politicians) there was not any...
I hope they are already extinct in 2077, but if not ... I really wanted to punch them!
But the 1st person is not very cool.

I believe that the CD will put this option to switch between 1st and 2nd person. Maybe as in Star Wars Battle Front...
I love to play my Halo in the 1st Person, but in 3rd Person, there is no equal.

The Witcher 3 has been and is a passion in my life. I remember when it was shown at E3 at the time.
Feeling like; -- It is! That's what I want. along with a sliver of good stuff.
I had that same shiver when I saw the Cyberpunk Trailer 2077...
I'm very anxious, waiting for more information, a gameplay video...

I even had a dream come true... For me, it was something like Sunset Overdrive with The Wicher 3 combat mechanics.me
As they said in personalization ...
Guess who I played with? Geralt (Gerald of the future)

Customized of course! - Artist: Johnson Ting - https: //www.artstation.com/artwork/88KAGttps

Now some things that I think would be cool to put in the game:
# 1 - 3rd Person Mode,
# 2 - Fighting mechanics with Slow Motion finalizations (Something like The Witcher 3).
# 3 - PHOTO MODE!!! (That was missing in TW3) It could be with a drone anyway.
(But I have a more advanced idea about this :))
# 4 - I believe that there will be a kind of "Black Market" for buying and selling things in the game.
Bionic parts, minerals, and other rare elements.
# 5 - Certainly a Sword of Light!!! Yes, something like the Jedi's... (I have some concepts for this too).
# 6 - I'll think more about what to put... Or rather organize... Why a lot goes on in the head.. Hahaha

That's it for now!

Give the player possibility to develop an identity, maybe by choosing a music style, combining cloth and hair styles. Try to create sub cultures that differ from each other, that the player can take part on/join. All with a cyberpunk theme (not a style or subculture specialist but: cybergoth styles, some neon electro synth pop/punk style, rock punk, something more grungy). Make these independent or semi independent of game/fight mechanics, so that their legit just identity styles, i.e. rp elements. Give the player a possibility to meet others from that subculture, hang out with them in pubs, clubs or other locales etc.

I dont get the obsession with 3rd person, so strange. Maybe it's people misconception its the witcher but cyberpunk.

the "if its FP I cant see my clothes" is also weird. If they show the body models, you can see what you have on. Why do you put on clothes in real life? The whole "If its FP, they aren't listening reeee I want to see 3rd person" is strange

plus its really stupid because you would see your character during cutscenes, when taking cover, in dialogues, in the menus, probably when entering a vehicle, and if there is actually full body awareness you would be able to see your character in any reflective surface. if this isn't enough then all is lost.

If it's a shooter then for me tight aiming controls are a must. Raw input and no mouse lag are essential for a game in order for me to feel like I can actually control the player.

It's not a shooter, there are backend dicerolls and stats that give damage, from what they have said you will be able to attack body parts individually but its not going to COD or GTA. More like old school Dues Ex.

Too true, also you wont be able to have on what YOU want all the time. They talked about street cred, and how clothing applys to that. You will most likely have to have on what that part of the city deems appropriate.

Why do you put on clothes in real life?

Uh, so you don't go walking around buck naked for starters. I don't see how that has any relevance to the issue. When I play games on a flat screen, I certainly don't think a pair of floating arms is me and most importantly I can't get immersed in that at all. What I get invested in is the characters (just like in the movies). Plus seeing your character once in a while like in Deus Ex doesn't stop the aesthetic character customization from being almost entirely pointless. Even if there is an element a street cred to what you have on, I would assume you don't have to look like a clone and there's still plenty of customization within those possible restraints. Perhaps you'll even be able to say to hell with what others think and wear what you want regardless of the consequences, in which case TP is even more important than before.

I think time should be spent to address the 3rd person perspective issue for the following reasons
1) win over fans that want to have this feature
2) include people that " cannot" play 1st person games due to sickness
3) have more freedom for players to experience night city and admire their created characters in your world which naturally gives the fans more to enjoy: character screenshots, more incentive for modders to make armors and weapons. ability to see the character augmentations " blades coming out of arms" for example High jumps, camouflage etc..... so many things will just so much cooler in 3rd person.

Cyberpunk 2077 - Your Ideas For A Dream RPG

We want the Cyberpunk 2077 to be the best RPG possible. Feel free to share your ideas and features that you would like to see in our upcoming game.

We want to hear your input:)
Some sort of free running system, nothing to big but it'll be cool running away from the cops while sliding over cars, doing flips and sliding etc
