[Scoia'tael] "Now We Must Stick Togther"

+
Okay, I can contain myself no longer. For the ultimate finisher it's Aglais, then into double"Garrison" using your leader power and hope your opponent doesn't remove it, like mine did last night. If you have the last card though it's GG!

Also I run renew incase I need to use the combo in R1 or R2. You would play her as the 2nd last card R3 and unless they remove her (which happens often) ha ha
You win!
pps. Not all the time

Question about the trap deck... I'm assuming Iorveth can return triggered traps. Is that correct? Double Pitfall sounds epic.

Yes, yes it is. (y)

How do you use Garrison twice here, I can't figure it out? Agläis proc's at round end, so would need to play her, and then immediately use Francesca's ability to pull Garrison from the graveyard to apply it before end of turn.

I been dreaming about a Frannie finisher, Iorveths Gambit into Serpent Trap & Pitfall trap, followed by Iorveth to renew one of these or a previous trap, followed by Aglais with a Frannie inspired Garrison. Means you don't have to have last say as the two traps are 100% protection from any last card play.

Its a shame Frannie doesn't have more mulligans to make this happen more often.....

Frannie seems to have trouble winning first round and getting 2-0 or heavily bled round two though also.

Correct. Then you hope they don't have an answer for that. I played four ranked matched yesterday. Lost all of them haha Their decks had an answer for everything I did.

I'm trying out Hand buff Elfs with Filavandriel, Smugglers, and king of Beggars. Using also elfs for removal, Zoltan for row buff and Agleis for finisher.

Its working pretty well, but I noticed one interesting interaction with Cahir, when you use your leader ability. Apparently buffing units in your hand counts towards Cahir's effect, so you can imagine my surprise when I used my Leader on a 10 card hand and Cahir just got +10 points ... So keep that in mind ;)

Totally pissed off this evening. I'm only rank 23 or something. I just lost 8 out of 9 games, coming up against nothing but netdecks, of course. Didn't see any NR decks, which says it all. Some of the matches were really tight. I lost by a point or two. At times it seemed like the opponent managed to pull another card so I lost card advantage. This happened several times.

So, i'm not a pro player. I detest copying, but that's all card games are these days, not that I know about old days, before gwent I didn't play cardgames.

But it seems to me, vividly. I'm not playing the person. I'm playing the PRO deck. I have enjoyed it at times recently but the never-ending BS with games of this genre and the netdecking means i'm out, again. It's not enjoyable.

That is a problem of all modern day card games, everyone is just too lazy to think of a deck by themselves.
I'm just glad that Arena is really fun to me, I just hate it that I can't get daily reward points playing it, I have to do ranked for that -.-

I'm trying to make spelltael great again!... But so far with mixed results. Francesca as the leader of course, with Sages, Johnny, Sara and Xavier as engines. Uma, Aguara - True Form, Renew, Blue Dream and Call of the Forest as my gold spells which can be replayed by Fran. It's an engine heavy deck, so it can be countered like your typical NR deck out there, but boi, when it works it's points slamming fiesta. It's RNG heavy (I've named it Spelltael Casino) and it feels like playing arena in classic mode. Not my best deck, but certainly my most fun one in homecoming so far.

I have no divine right to win, nor should I be playing against PRO decks i.e. people who spend all day playing video games. 95% of us can't do that. As you say, this is the online experience for card games. If I don't agree then there is no point in me playing. I'm going to wait and see with the new cards coming.

My Draconoid/tremors into Eleyas isn't working against netdecks. I lost a lot trying to make it work. If you are playing spells/damage it's sad. It seems ST has to be negative to get wins i.e. mostly damage, now traps. I think it's a faction trait. I like points haha

Having a "pro deck" doesn't mean the opponent can play like a pro. Netdecks are part of any digital CCG. You cannot beat the efficiency of such decks, but you can beat the player and you can win with creative thinking and deckbuilding. Their are some tier 2 decks using a very specific tactic that isn't answerable by every netdeck. This means you can still regularly win. However, you have to make a viable deck at least, instead of a "meme" deck.

It seems ST has to be negative to get wins i.e. mostly damage, now traps.

ST has enough viable decks. A good Eldain trap deck can beat most opponents. Then there is the Handbuff deck, which is competitive too. Finally, Brouver Movement with Lacerate and/or Traps is strong too.

I'm trying to make spelltael great again!... But so far with mixed results. Francesca as the leader of course,

If you want to use Fran, the best way is to use Ragnarok or Lacerate for good AoE damage in a long round and Garrison for points in a short round. Having these specials available with the flexibility it provides, it a good way to win.

Yes, I am a casual player with 160 hours invested and from the beginning attracted by the Scoia'tael faction. I love dwarves and I have created my own deck with Brouver to drag me to level 21 with more shame than glory (Drawft boost with Elf damage and a mix of lock/unlock card and several neutral too).

But I play with them because I love it , I like versatile cards with double function depending on your need.(Oficial Vrihedd,Ida Emean aep Sivney,Gabor Zigrin…) and I changed a lot, every week, trying to found a better versión. That's my game, until I get bored. And with the new expansión more possibilities appear on the horizon.
But don't lose faith the New Keywords for our faction are sure to come with a unique feature, to get the most out of Harmony our decks will be 35 cards with a much higher supply of provisions by leader. I Hope, I joke but I play. :p

I'm in the wrong faction! haha

I want points on my side of the board, engines get shut down, even by ST. It's sad and you know what!? I've been playing mostly ST this week. Matchmaking is....

bum! I mean, bump!

So far, the main thing I like is the dryads thighs. Other than that. I suppose 905% of the players are waiting for the youtube guys to show them what deck to make. I bet there will be some very clever plays indeed coming up.

Poison, harmony with (known) engines i.e. smugglers and dwarves backed up with gold engines is kind of working for me in practice.

How's the expansion going? I don't have hundreds of barrels or ore to spend, so I have to go playing with the 15 barrels of the cc tree and 800 ores. For now Matrons has won a place( or two) on my deck, along with a forgotten sentry and the Mahakan defender gives a lot of boost And I got a spectacular combo with Xavier that took me to a victory by a point( I alwas win for a Little ). What CC card are you like more to play?

It would appear that damage MO and damage cards in general, are too optimal. What a surprise...I haven't played ranked since CC. Just going on what reddit forum is saying and now there's a nerf, INCOMING!

If you are like me and only play ST, you will lose more often than not on seasonal. Unless you play a boosty boosty deck or the opposite, no in-between i'm afraid.

I see NR has a 1 point card that boosts itself immediately by 4. That's 5 for 5 haha What a joke. I don't begrudge NR though.ST and NR are the weakest (deliberately) factions.

Wow, just came back to check on the game and it's a lot of learning to do with all the new cards and effects.

Enjoying figuring out new handbuff deck - some nice new cards like weeping willow to use.

Also curious of on how to build a good Dana deck - seems a nice challenge to think about.

Not really feeling movement anymore, though I enjoy some movement synergy in other decks, just not as an archetype by itself.
