Think about making a collection of albums to give to my son when he's older, one from every year that sort of represents the year. The rules are simple - (1) it has to be really good; (2) no repeat artists; (3) one album per year. I'm starting it in 1965 and then one album per year after. Here is what I've come up with so far:
Updating this thought. It has expanded to include a planned 90 Albums from the years 1955-2025 with at least one album from every year, plus 10 playlists representing singles not covered in the albums. The rules have been updated - (1) it has to be good; (2) no repeat artists on the albums; (3) popular music that decently represents that years/decades therein (4) arguably appropriate for a 10 year old. A few of the songs are using censored versions. Current iteration:

Emperor - Bloodstock 2018

Cannot believe they got slotted playing this masterpiece in the daylight...it's Emperor celebrating Anthems To The Welkin At Dusk...LIVE...recognise!

In many opinions (not mine, but it's in the top five) the greatest black metal release of all time

Spewin' I found out about the tour here too late...all tickets were sold out quick except for Sydney. I hate Sydney. It has no soul & I no longer have the others to help tackle the coldness & disdain we always got there

Never could put my finger on it, but nothing EVER worth more than a spin came out of Sydney except for Sadistik Exekution.

I love the backup singers in the shitty car song. I don't think I've ever had A/C work in any of my vehicles :p

I like finding new music, but watching some of these videos with no context freaks me out.
