they didnt specify whether or not it will be seperate. i dont remember the exact timestamp, but they did confirm twice that the other AAA game they talked about is Cyberpunk 2077 multiplayer
I'm listening to it now. :)

6:50= multiplayer is the new AAA game. (I think it's a stand alone game, they don't comment on that)
a little later= they're thinking about CP on next gen but don't comment further (quite sure we'e getting a full price enhanced edition at this point :( )
12:40= all game mechanics are in place, the game just needs polishing. ( @Snowflakez what hasn't been shown so far was a deliberate decision, then)
14:00= there will be crunch time (surprise?)
16:00= no comments about the next regular updates schedule. there will be a surprise (naked keanu reeves doing the helicopter confirmed)

Aren't CDPR's enhanced editions usually cheaper rather than more expensive? Why would it be full price? I don't understand.

it depends. on consoles there are no enhanced editions usually. either you get a GOTY which includes DLCs and is sold at full price or you get a remaster, but in that case it's always a quite old game that gets a texture pack (rarely a remake). Those are cheaper.
For CP77, though, next gen consoles will be out only 2 months later, which means the new versions won't be cheaper. the 2 other options are free upgrade patch (as it is now for mid gen consoles) or a paid one (only one case in history, COD 2013), but I really fear it won't be the case.
Normally I wouldn't complain, but with next gen sharing the same architecture as PS4 and one, it'll be the same as mid-gen or when a PC gamer upgrades his hardware. They already have all textures and stuff done for high-end PC, it'll be just a matter of choosing the right compromises, optimize the game and release a patch. Anyway, by september we'll know consoles plans, hopefully CDPR will share their plans as well.
Worst case scenario: CDPR doesn't comment on that, I buy CP77 on ps4, then they announce the PS5 version, I sell my copy and buy the new one = I lose money and I'm very disappointed with CDPR.

There was also a comment about planned hands on showcase of the game, which was also delayed (initially it was planned for the start of this year), however it is still coming relatively soon, but not in February or March. And since they also stated that there won't be any news updates in summer, that leaves only April and May as a potential time period for journalists to play prerelease version of the game. Of course, E3 is also an option for event like that, but I feel like they always prefer to do that kind of thing exclusively on their own instead of as a part of E3 or Gamescom. If that's the case, at least we won't have to wait until E3 for a more detailed informations about the game.

At E3. 100%.

At E3. 100%.
Again, I doubt it. They were pretty consistent when it comes to making their own promotional events for hands on impressions. It has been this way for The Witcher 2, The Witcher 3, Hearts of Stone, Blood and Wine, Gwent and Thronebreaker, so I don't see them relying on E3 for such an event after all this years, when it comes to their biggest project yet. The Witcher 3 had it's own hands on event a four months before it's release, so it is within the realm of possibilities for them to make this kind of event in May or April. In fact, they even said that they still didn't decided what they are going to show for E3, while plans for hands on event seems to be already prepared.

You really think those two games won't share the same assets?
And? What of it? They have stated that this AAA project will be much smaller in scale then either Cyberpunk 2077 or The Witcher 3, so that should be expected.

If they share assets, that's actually a good thing, because it means less work/resources taken from the singleplayer game.

The person I was replying to wanted CDPR to focus on singleplayer, and I said they don't need to worry because the multiplayer is a different team. So the main team is still focused on singleplayer.

I don't see the point in making influencers play a game several months before release, when the game is still a mess (as they claimed yesterday). E3 is a great marketing opportunity since it's when the whole world has its eyes on videogames, non specialistic media as well.
Gamescom is 1 month before release. That could be good, but I expect influencers to get the reveiw copies around september 1st (with reviews' embargo for the 10th-ish). No point in trying the game 2 weeks before you get the final version.
Witcher 2 and 3, their last major releases, came out in may, so prior to e3. Not applicable.
Nothing new will be shown in july and august, of course.
They don't know what to show at e3? They also said they've just decided to postpone the game, so they need to reschedule hands-on as well => why not to E3? They solve 2 "issues" with one move. Media were supposed to try the game now, 3 month prior to release. E3 is 3 months prior to release.

Anyway, if it's not june then it's may. If not may then it's september. I don't really care at this point. I think I've already seen all I needed to see to understand the game. I just need a techie build and crafting to get the complete picture, but I don't think it'll be anything revolutionary.

My only few doubts right now are if they'll improve driving and gunplay and if bullet sponges will be as annoying as in TW3 or if they tweaked levels in a "better" (IMHO) way. None of this will be properly dsclosed until reviews in september. And how the game runs on consoles. That's even more secret than the vatican archive or area 51. The super duper 2080ti pc version was not that impressive, I'm a little scared for my ps4.

Mess is too big of a word, but either way they can always let people play the most polished sections of the game, as they did with their previous hands on events, so the overall state of the game doesn't mean much for that to happen.

I still don't see why they should do it though. Anyway, no real point in trying to guess: we won't see much prior to release. Maybe another very informative DEEP DIVE video "not to spoil the story" :ROFLMAO: :ROFLMAO: :ROFLMAO: :ROFLMAO: :ROFLMAO:

I don't anticipate that we'll see much more before release either, but I do see value in hands-on previews. Bear in mind it's not just IGN-tier journalists who get hands-in time with the game.

It's also smaller-time writers or YouTubers who have the same exact concerns, or at least similar ones, as us. I'd like to hear their opinions.

On an unrelated note, my latest prediction for the remainder of 2020 is that we will see more screenshots before, or directly after E3. We will see some form of gameplay, a small trailer at worst, at the event itself, which will take place in a new district of the city.

After that, the usual hands-on demo impressions will be written up.

100% agreed and never thought otherwise. In particular from the journalist I know in person. Still, seeing a pure uncut gameplay with my own eyes, one I can stop and analyze frame by frame, is 1000 times more useful than reading any preview. In particular if the preview is just an hands-on of the deep dive video section of which we know all about.

Also because in preview people are rarely allowed to go somewhere the devs don't want them to be and, for exemple, shoot an high level NPC to check how annoying bullet sponges can be. They are usually force to follow a mission instead of free roaming, they don't cause a car accident on purpose to see how the DMG system works and if the world around them reacts to it.
Reviews and interactive live streamings are the important stuff, since you can interact with people who finished the game.

During the hands on events, CDPR allows the journalists and youtubers to record their own gameplay (for The Witcher 3 that was roughly three hours of footage per person) and then show it publically as part of their impressions. If they would follow the same rules with Cyberpunk, alongside prerelease impressions, we would get quite a lot of new gameplay footage as well. As for the other things, they never use a section that has been already presented as a hands on demo, they always let media play something never seen before. In The Witcher 3 hands on event they allowed quite a lot of free roaming in White Orchard and Skellige outside of quests. Media got three hours to play the game however they liked, they were not forced to follow the story if they wanted, so I think that would be the case with Cyberpunk hands on as well.

An update on the MP. I wonder if this is in fact the rumored other game they've been working on.
The information about multiplayer delay made me think. Since it's rather clear that Cyberpunk Online will use many assets from Cyberpunk 2077 and it will come out at least two years after main game, it makes me wonder if it's going to be a crossgen title for the consoles, seeing how by that time new consoles will be all the rage, even though CP2077 is going to come out on current gen consoles initially. I think that also makes it more likely that the main game will receive an update for new consoles as well.

fai enough.

But would you like to bet that nobody at the hands on will try what I suggested (= try to play not exactly how the game si supposed to be played, going out of the "invisible" rails?)
