Can't access this chest in Witcher 3

So I saw some crap on this beach I could loot. Figured they'd stash something in the water. So I started searching. Was impressed I found this random chest at the bottom. But Everytime I go down to get it, it acts like there's a wall between me and the chest. It was saddening. Has anyone else experienced this with this chest? I doubt there's anything game changing in it, just didn't know if this winds up being story related or not.

Ay, I once came across the same puzzling situation. No worries, it's from part of the main story.
