Side content

+
i think the greatest strength of the witcher 3 was its rich side content,it had side quests and contracts which are both incredibly fleshed out,i also enjoyed the treasure hunts because it had alot of environmental storytelling, mini game side quests like the fist of fury, horse racing and gwent they are not necessarily as fleshed out as the side quests/contracts but they were still fun to do and then there are the bland ones like destroying monsters nest and saving villages not necessarily the most entertaining but they were kinda meh and then there were the absolute awful chest hunts i really hated finding those especially the ones in skellige.

Which brings us to Cyberpunk i remember in an interview which i cant recall that they will make up for the shorter main story by having more side content, its confirmed that its going to have Side quests, street stories which are short quests in an old interview street stories are described as the bread and butter of the game, mini game side quests like the martial arts and racing similar to the witcher 3 minus having gwent and bounties i have been reading some previews and by the looks of it it does not seem to be as fleshed out as the contracts in the witcher 3, it seems like generic kill quests (i hope that im wrong) most of the previews commented that the bounty which they did gave them a cool sniper that allows them to see through walls but nothing beyond that.

is there anything that im missing ?

The more I think about it, I personally did not enjoy much of the side content in Witcher 3 either. Heck, I almost want to say I didn't even enjoy the main content thinking back again and deeper about my experiences much much later with much much more thought if I want to reconsider my opinions and be brutally honest... sorry CDPR! Love you! But I'm not worried about this in Cyberpunk2077 at all anymore. It's gonna be so great! I can feel it!
Cyberpunk is going to have more side quests in quantity and variety than the Witcher 3.

some will be street races, fights, quick encounters, jobs, and other things.

don’t worry. This game won’t be short of things to do
This I'm confident about, 0 worries.

Half of my motivation for doing sidequests in TW3 was the possibility that the rescued people would play gwent and have unique cards. I don't expect anything as good as gwent, but I hope we get cool rewards for sidequests.

not necessarily worried about the amount of content we are getting but i heard that there is an open world team that are responsible for adding content to the world, the witcher 3 did not have that team btw,im kind off more interested on what type of content is there outside of what is already mentioned.

it is confirmed that there will be no card game thats for sure.

I BELIEVE what they said, was we weren't going to have Gwent. What actual minigames we get hasn't been revealed fully. I don't expect there to be much.

Theres races, theres fistfights (both have been shown in trailers already), who knows what else. There is a casino location in North Oak thats been confirmed..

I forget where But I read somewhere that if purposefully do all the side content you are making the game 4 to 5 times as long as it would be if exclusively did main story and ignored all else

I just hope they don't drop a lot of "?" on the map, like in the The Witcher 3.
I didn't enjoy many of them and especially didn't like the ones in the water/Skellige, but my obsessive-compulsive mind forces me to collect them anyway... Don't judge me. But please, CDPR, protect me from what I want.

I'm really hoping I can "make my own side quest content" in some ways. I'd love to hack ATMs for petty cash and run a little personal circuit like that. I'd also adore being able to buy weapon crafting materials, build a weapon for a profit, buy more materials, repeat process.

Just kinda add layers to RP and fun little things I could potentially do on the side that don't necessarily need to rely on gangs, corps, scripted quests, etc...

but did they confirm that there are going to be mini games minus fist fights and racing? i dont see any reason for them to hide it none of the trailers they have shown so far confirms that

not sure about hacking atms(is that even a thing in the game?) but im pretty sure you can hack vending machines, turrets and robots(like the boxing one from the pacifica demo).

I love side quests (as long as they are good, no stupid fetch quests and as long as they have meaning and story behind them).

Please CDPR...

Main quests compose a narrative. Side quests compose a world.
The former is like watching a movie. The latter is like living in that movie.

I usually find living in movies to be more fun and engaging.

I hope for something like the Rock Trolls . They were funny and very different from the rest of the game or even Nan`s pan in White Orchard . Knowing CDPR i think we will get some humor in another wise dark game .
