World is not interactive enough, thoughts?

+
Firstly I must say that the game is great and I enjoy playing it very much, but more and more I am playing I cant shake that one big dissapointment or issue I have with the game and thats that the world just not seem interactive enough and its really shame cause it has so much potential and unused opportunities in that area. I dont know I just thought it would be more interactive like GTA you know more specifically like GTA SA.

- All those food stands 24/7 or other shops around the game you cant interact with ... why you cant buy a hotdog or cofee or beer whatever then drink or eat it with some nice animation .. those are tiny things but it really adds immersion and life into the game
- Restaurants and bars ... sadly they are completely obsolete and not worth going in there, its just an inventory barter same as with the food machines and since all food gives same boost you just dont have to go there ever ... why you cant just sit around the bar or restaurant drink or eat something with some animations and chill you know maybe watch some strippers and give them some eddies you know
- Too few channels in TV and you cant interact with anything while browsing the web thats a shame ...
- No minigames (at least so far) there is also a lot of unused potential, i saw playing/gaming machines make them usable for in game gaming, pub games like darts or pool, hazard machines (also in game) maybe in game casino ?, there are shooting ranges at gun shops so why not make a minigame here to shoot for high score etc.
- Customizable cars (hope it will be added in some future DLC)
- What are those BDs for if you cant watch them? I still cant figure out why you can buy them them then? and whats the function of pawn shops cause you cant use almost anything he is selling and you can sell him everything you can sell to other vendors
- Too few prostitute/toys types ... I came only across two so far (one male, one female) and playing as male V I dont find the female version very atractive

Those are just few I can think of from the top of my head, feel free to add more if you think of any. I dont know after 8 years of development I just expected the world to be way more interactive and that there will be more things to do when you are not on a mission to just hang out you know.

But otherwise the game is great :)

How it can be improved? (probably wont, but hey a man can dream) Your thoughts?
I bought all the BD's I could because I thought I would be able to use them! Hoping for some AO DLC that allows you to view and use them (especially the naughty ones)

Or course make everyone of them playable would be a lot of work but at least some o them would be nice.

It would also be nice to have some garage where you can showcase favourite vehicles ...

Ability to customize skins on non iconic weapons

Crafting should be revamped also ... its great that you can upgrade all items now (you couldn do that in TW3) but the upgrades are too costly and increase in stats is too little.

what do you want? every vendor to open up a trade menu to sell you hotdogs? After you do that 10 times you'll never do it again anyway, then there will be complaints "all the vendor sells is hot dogs."
Maybe he's in a bad mood, maybe he just works there and doesn't care to make sales.

I get what you are saying, but I just don't know what people expect or want. Every vendor to trade? No thanks.
Foodstalls should let us sit down and eat animations. That is what I want, same with bars. It gives us a reason to want to maybe visit all the stalls.

In the witcher 3 one of the reason you literally checked every shop owner was to see if they sold any cards. There is no incentive to check on food markets in cyberpunk. Also you could play gwent with almost all shop owners

Hope you guys can cooperate and upvote enough for the dev to actually sees it...

another upvote to this. definitely the world is not interactive enough. As I have seen at a glance that people mentioned a lot of the foundation is there and I agree with this too. It seems like an easy thing for them get the rat-on-a-stick vendors able to sell their wares and add sitting locations to all of the chairs (just ad the F interaction key a line of dialogue and buy menu). Since that seems and easy "fix" I would hope they have plenty of time to get our tattoo parlors hairstylists and other whatnots added in that take a bit more effort. I hope they can also get something figured out with more braindances -- imagine a museum braindance tour that goes over cyberpunk lore history. Imagine a rich corpo's braindance of their life leading up to murder that you can use to help solve an unsolved crime with the possibility of picking the wrong suspect. This seems like a huge missed opportunity.

I think this ended up being a game with great vision in concept, but a poorly managed project which has failed to execute on a number of levels. The story is the only thing which stops this game from being a glorified proof of concept / tech demo. It's almost as if the B team worked on this game for 8 years, whilst the team who worked on the Witcher went on a long sabbatical.

The world is literally meaningless in this game, just a hub to go from one quest to another lol Can't play slot machines, can't play poker or Gwent like in Witcher, the cops don't patrol the streets, and NPCs just spawn out of no where and disappear right in front of your eyes lol

I'm curious about if they are reading these topics and considering the suggestions. This is very important. I was gonna open a new topic about this but I must reach 10 topic first. Just like most of the users of this forum, I feel a responsibility of sharing these suggestions related interactivity. It is cruical. It is easy to implement and improves the immersion a lot.

Also they must start responding people. Maybe a community manager can share their vision. I don't expect them to reply every single comment of course, but maybe they can just say "We are working on most requested suggestions".

They must realize what hunt them is lack of information about last gen consoles, so it's better for them to be open to community about these unfortunate events.

Is there any signs if they are reading these suggestions?

That is hard to say, they almost never reply because they are not allowed. They only announce news, some hotfix details and some events.
But i think 1 or 2 devs definitely have smurf casual accounts that lurk here maybe even talk sometimes :D i know i would do that

I did get a weird feeling when walking around with a gun openly didn't get any reactions from people. I feel like the things you do in the game sometimes don't get the type of response you would typically get in other games.

I also wish there was a relationship system built in, which could lead up to a possible romance (of which there should be more) and getting perks from just being friends with the person in the case where you cannot romance them (like discounts at the bar they work, etc).

developers praised Night City a lot, and i was thinking i will be able to do tons of stuff in it not just kill enemies, but have fun and enjoy in many passive activities like minigames romances braindancing, but as soon as i approach first Arcade Cabinet and there was no prompt to play it, i knew this is not good :D

I had seen something in the game regarding this situation. I believe this is one of the cut contents. In a restaurant (forgot which one), you can have a dialogue with the bartender and ask for what he is recommending. Then a store page opens (with usual generic drinks). After buying and/or exiting the screen, you have 2 options about "asking what he has" and "give me one more", both of them opens the store page again. I believe they started out with drinking animations but cancelled the project before release.

To be fair the Witcher wasn't very interactive either, aside from Gwent. NPCs acted much the same as they do in Cyberpunk.

All the interaction is in missions, sidequests, and random encounters (like bounties). I'm fine with it. The game just needs some polish.

I'm also sure that the DLC will add more interaction. Probably hair salons and cosmetic shops, for one. Maybe arcade rooms.
True, but you could enter many more houses, had many more interactable general and food vendors, could plow about 30 prostitutes, could petition basically everyone for Gwent, could go after about 200 collectibles via quests (armor sets), etc. etc. etc. In short, the world never felt like shallow window-dressing... Night City, sadly, very much does.

Also you have to remember, this isn't The Witcher 3. This is Cyberpunk 2077. You have to remember all the features they promised us but then didn't deliver. There's lists out there with links proving they advertised as such. The lists are loooooooooooooong.

How do you want it to be more interactive? Be able to turn taps on and pull the toilet like in Deus Ex? cos thats shallow AF. they want you to interact with meaningful stuff

For me the world (other than its looks) is truly a gargantuan letdown. In the Cyberpunk pen and paper, the world is the main character. Your group of misfits are just side characters to the world they find themselves in. To have a soulless world in Cyberpunk is just wrong in my opinion.

It really frustrates me for other reasons too, like the shops. An entire city only has a handful of shops in it? and those shops only sell a handful of items? Its so immersion breaking.

Considering the systems used for shops and the fact that interacting with a shop does not really have anything special about it, why are there so few. Its such a missed opportunity. Especially for clothing shops.

Imagine if there were 50 clothing shops in Night City. You could actually go shopping and hunting for the right look. As it is now your only choice for getting a good style is to cheeze the timeskip function to refresh the shop inventory. The individual clothing shops are so far apart from each other its just not viable to go to each one every 24 hours to see what they have that day.

If they extended just slightly how the misc shops work so they can pull from other categories like clothing and mods and gave all the market stalls a misc shop UI you could role play so much more in so many different areas of the city.

Finally why do all the shops have the same randomised selection of items, whats the point of having one shop per district if the clothing they sell is not district specific. They need to make shops select items to sell dependant on where the shop is. Going to the super expensive rich-corpo suit shop and having him sell you short-shorts and cowboy hats is incredibly immersion breaking

I know... it's like No Man's Sky, but 1000% worse. :(
