Hey everyone.
Its been a long time when I first was active on this forums. Witcher 3 was the reason and there were huge discussions about lack of content in some aspects of the game.
Now as a fanboy of CDPRs fantastic witcher games I also thought CP2077 will become a masterpiece too which doesnt seem to happen for some people after that disasteruous release.
Let me tell you about my thoughts here and why I think it will all be somewhat fine at the end:
First of all the bugs, glitches, crashes and performance stuff will all mostly be fixed. Its just a matter of time but even in Witcher 3 they even changed some of the UI and added alternative movement for Geralt. Such things are the reason why I think CP will have at least the same support. I think it will even get more support since its a project worked on for almost 8 years now. Better vehicle handling for example could be a thing I guess.
The false advertising is another point however. Most times they had the "work in progress" note in their videos which makes it clear that the final version can be different of what we see in the videos. However when I remember correctly there was this 48 minutes gameplay video where a lot of features has been presented and ended up replaced or deleted. I have never seen the possibility to destroy the environment with my pistol for example.
So regarding those features I wouldnt expect too much. Some of those would also change the whole gameplay and maybe even quest aspects which makes it hard to change them after release. At least thats what I think so we should keep our hope at a low level right now.
I played Battlefield V since its release now which is more than 2 years now and they had simillar problems. Changing the time to kill TWO TIMES and after months away of release without players to want it, cut content and bug included. No support for the BR Mode Firestorm anymore and so on. I know I compare a MP shooter with CP but at some levels its the same. After such a long time I dont think the developers are to blame for the state of the game. They give their best and sometimes their creativity is getting blocked by whoever. Even in such hard times with the corona shit its even harder. After such a long time working on this project all they want is to see all the positive feedback about their 8 years of work. And in only a hand full days the imagination of the game being a blast got destroyed. I cant even imagine how frustrating this must be.
I dont know who decided to release the game in its state and what was the reason to do so instead of delaying it to even the end of 2021 if needed. But what I think is that they will do what they can to bring the game as near as possible to the point it should be.
