Adult Game?

It is so trivial that is a major factor in quite some forum posts and is, at the moment, breaking the forum rules. Simply because even CDPR know they f*cked up and don't want to be reminded.

Every company that is listed in the wiki-post I linked had their regional censoring done BEFORE RELEASE !!!!!

And your argument "They uncensored their original Witcher years later on PC" shows that they are no strangers to such kinds of censorship. There is even a list of things that were changed in Witcher 3 to meet requirements for some foreign markets.

So. No. That kind of censorship is a result of disregarding any kind of experience they gained during their other projects. Which shows in worldbuilding, characters, quests and now in this kind of censoring.

As I wrote in my other post: CDPR chose (the lazy approach, as with most parts of the game [...])

So, you people are seriously, attacking them for not making their product banned in all these nations for sales?

How is any of that productive to changing those nations laws?

i think they should make few versions maybe ? give country who has relaxed laws more realistic version, and countries with strict laws should keep cartoony version of CP2077

or release official unrated patch dlc either free or paid one and that only adults can buy that DLC and access to more uncensored mode ? how's that work ?

everyone would be happy.

No. Not for banning it. For knowing how the market works (they never changed the Witcher to be unbanned in Saudi Arabia as far as I know) and not thinking about it beforehand, but making false promises even though they knew they could not be kept everywhere in the world. And suddenly they are like "Ooops. Lets censor that quickly. Before someone notices".

How is censoring the game to accommodate those laws, changing them exactly? Or helping to change them exactly?

Attacking? No.
But I would rather make them inform me before launch about this fact and give me the option to elaborate if I want this game in this particular way for me.

If there would be a option to like change the version with a patch or mod where devs wouldn't be possible to accused of I would be alright and they could patch nudity out as much as they want for the regular consumers which don't care about this topic. But for me I would like have a choice after they released it and advertised it differently.

So possibilitie 1: before launch inform that there will be nudity on a level which could be not 18+

Or 2: Give a Patch out which is free to use but must be applied and download separately from the customer which brings back the basic version of Nudity and Mature Content.

I surely don't advise them against making. Money or lock them out of a market.

Not for me, in the U.S., I had an R rated sex scene, which implied, oral and regular vanilla sex.

From the only Joytoy female I could even find on the map..
Psh. I watched more hardcore stuff than that on MTV late night when I was 10...

So you don't have the boxers and have full nudity?

Not really. These are as close as you can get while still keeping that PG-13 rating.

Except that the char creation screen pushes it to hard R due to visible genitals. So, again, 0 logic.

This whole thing is fucking utterly moronic in the first place. EVERY kid at the age of 12 with access to internet has been to P-hub. Fooking hell, I watched Heavy Metal ON NETWORK TV when I was 7.

That's my point, though. legality isn't their fault. Nor does their work have any impact on it.

Updating this later is the only option in the middle of a launch storm without the chance to carefully assess what country allows what.

No. We do. From what I understand, everyone is under the same shadow blanket of censorship.

That wasn't what I was discussing at that moment of time. Lol. Yeah. Hard R rating in the inventory, sure, but at the rate they are patching out nudity without any sort of notifications and after they marketed about it for years that this would be an adult game for adults, they will be PG-13 by the end of March, easy.

The
I do not understand how anyone thought a console game would not be locked to region censorship according to region, in order to legally sell its copies in the first place. I guess I'm just confused from a legal standpoint.

If you push for an uncut PC version you people actually would have some clout, otherwise, it's just useless discussion.
The "discussion" I'm having is to have the game I got on the launch date returned. I want what I purchased. End of discussion.

Thank you for your time explaining it to me. My English is some time quite poor.

I know, but the point was that censoring for a 13 rating while having full nudity in inventory makes it *POINTLESS* because it doesn't matter WHERE the genitals are visible. You could have everyone walk around naked and it wouldn't change anything.

Yes. It would be. Which is why I'm betting by the end of March, that will be gone, too at their current rate of censorship.

I think some people believe adding true nakedness to the game is just pervy but as a person IRL with a wife and kids and not having a need for porn for over 20 years, I do agree that having naked bodies and true sex type scenes in this game just fits and it's very jarring not having it.
there are some very disturbing subjects covered in the game in great detail, slavery/people trade, exploitation of minors, rape, torture, it goes on and on so why is a naked body such a bad thing to see, a murdered and defiled naked body is fine, but living people who choose to use there body's need to be clothed at all times often in suits or Workman's cloths. ( naked woman in a bath that has been abused is in the game)
Seems the subject of raping a small boy and killing him with a description of these fine, but consensual sex scenes with full nakedness so taboo. ?
Correct! I just crucified some guy for this psycho BD producer but somehow Meredith Stout's nipples are an issue.

I know that this is your point. I never disregarded your point in the first place. I KNOW WHERE YOU ARE COMING FROM !!!!

I'm from Germany. Do you have any idea how hard it was (still is, even though somewhat less) to get any uncensored game that had Nazi-Symbols in them? They went so far and changed the names of the antagonists in Die Hard 1, simply because terrorism was a threat at the time in Germany. That is why in the dubbed version, the names he writes down, don't match the names he is given. I get that media has regional requirements to meet, to not be censored.

My point is though, that they KNEW that they would not be able to go through with it everywhere in the world. They had the very same issues with previous games. But instead of making the necessary changes BEFORE they released the game, they decided to first release game and THEN implement the censorship.
