Why did they make the actual sexual content so scarce?

Yeah I get it, it's a video game so I'm not looking for nudity but it's odd I can see my bush sometimes, but other times I'm forced to wear panties? It's like spring break all over again!
To me its much more about immersion when it comes to world building than anything else. They are trying to sell the CP universe as a place of sex, drugs, violence and rock and roll.

There is violence and hardly anything else. If it weren't for Silverhand, there are no rock and roll in the game. Despite these rockers boys playing a role in the lore. Drugs doesn't really exist to the degree you would expect, which is obviously because certain countries have restrictions on this, which in general is very weird, it's perfectly fine to shoot innocent people, but drugs are you crazy? Sex / Relationships is treated in a very immature way, like some children seeing a topless women for the first time in a magazine and it's like the most naughty thing they have ever seen.

Putting it all together and the illusion of the CP universe being such place just falls apart. And that is not even including all the other things that breaks it as well, like homeless and starving people, when there are basically food, drinks, weapons and what not to be found everywhere.

The city itself and the visual design, layout etc. Is absolutely masterful, how they chose to make use of it in regards to immerse the player into the world of CP is not very good.

Played earlier and walked behind the counter in one of the shops and just straight up took money and food off it in front of the owner, didn't even comment on it. Then went into another room next door and found 4-6 money rolls with poor people sitting in there. To me that just breaks immersion as much as all the stuff mentioned above.

To be honest i don't think adding more sex and strip clubs and working gals plus more choices to do as u plz would drop the sales, it would probably increase them, to know u have more freedom and choice.

Because the thing guys wanna do is visit a strip club get a lap dance and chill have a drink, and after that go and see a working gal, if u wanna disagree go ahead.. but those who played or play GTA V know what i'm on about.

And before u say.. This is not GTA.. yes i know that, but i'm only saying if they added more of this and that it wouldn't lower sales.

eh. if i want to see people fuck i dont play a game i watch porn.
at the same time, if i get into a dirty redlight district strip club in a game where there is a dildo in every shelf and i decapitate dudes as if i got payed for gibs in bulk,, being protected from the sight of a nude female upper body by taped nipples feels condescending.

My main issue is that sex is a huge part of the Cyberpunk setting. Yet there's far more sex in Witcher 3 than Cyberpunk 2077. Which makes absolutely no sense.

I mean, all they had to do is make the joy toys the same as the prostitutes in Witcher 3. You hire one, get a random short cutscene with the randomly generated joy toy of choice... repeat... that's it. The only scenes they'd have make "proper" are the main "romance" character ones. Which honestly I think they did a so-so job of, a Judy's is great... Panam's... not so much...

Dont know how many teenagers actually got this game, but I as a 30 years old, married long time cyberpunk player (I've played the 2020 table top more than any of you had played 2077) was expecting (as it was advertised) an adult game for adults, that stays true to cyberpunk genre and to 2020 tt-rpg. So far only 1/3 of that was fulfilled.

I could care less about the amount of scenes, but silently patching clothes on strippers, covering nipples with tape and removing most of highly suggestive adds really feels like slap to the face. Don't even mention the weirdness of being naked in the inventory and wearing undies in the shower. V's crotch gotta smell like some teenagers' tent in the festival area.

It goes well against immersion and one of the cornerstones of cyberpunk genre. Not the bigest stone, but nonetheless. If you are not making a cyberpunk game, then don't name it as such.

What I really wish to see is an official statement of why did they do it and are there any plans to put those things back. I've read some similar threads here and elsewhere, but they are 99% just wild guesses and all sorts of speculations. Almost nothing concrete, except that the partial nudity covering panties are working as intented.
Exactly, and adult game for adults only. Stripers should be fully naked in the city, not because we need porn, anyone can get mucu better porn online, but because it's immersive and logical. Just an example.

Couldn't they at the very least give us the exact same level of non censorship and sex in general as Witcher 2 and 3? Because it's still far from that.

So while I also wish you could visit Clouds again (its such a great moment when you follow that conversation down the rabbit hole), I'm also glad you cannot just visit again because getting the script right would be nearly impossible (as the current script explains).
You indeed can, went back yesterday out of curiosity. There's at least 2, maybe more, windows you can enter through after Judy's quest line. I highly recommend going back there and just looking around at how it looks post quest line compared to before. You can also still pick up things you didn't the first time and there is an iconic weapon in the dolls' dressing room.... which has one of the accessible windows. The window I went through was shuttered but gives you the option to open it, it put me in the main hallway with all the doll rooms a few feet from the holo girl the guys were watching the first time around.
I definitely felt some type of way.

My first ever game (post-D&D) online was a text based ToriMUD RPG called Sojourn.

And that was back when the internet cost like 6 bucks an hour to access. Which is when you were like.....maybe 5 years old? I've likely played more online AND offline RPGs than you've played in your entire life. It's been my hobby since the early days of public internet accessibility.

The point is, none of either of our backgrounds in gaming is relevant, given that with today's access to information it should be pretty well known, and expected, that even softcore porn is hard to get through the ratings systems of most countries. And selling worldwide REQUIRES fitting the game into the ratings systems of every country it's sold in, respectively. An "M" rating doesn't mean T&A all over the place. It has a number of meanings. Blood, gore, smoking, drug use, alcohol use, and a host of other things that fall under the mature category.

Anyone expecting gobs of softcore porn was only kidding themselves, and setting themselves up for a letdown. What a company "says" will be in a game is subjective, at best. And it should be taken as such.

Yes. IDK if the Clouds outcome is different for other Pisces choices or if it's the same, but I got in and only the lobby was inaccessible. In my game there's no people, it's closed down completely, but the interior is slightly altered & damaged. I just went along the scaffolding and boards like you do with Judy in a couple quests and eventually came to a shuttered window that gave me an option to open it.

I did 2 or 3 access points I didn't get the first time and got some attribute checks I wasn't able to get earlier. I actually decided to leave everything that was in the building, including the iconic weapon & stacks of eddies. So I just walked around looking at everything then left the way I came in.

First you accuse people who want this content to be teenagers, then you dismiss it when it's proven otherwise.

And I'm sorry. The game has literal dildos, illustrated hardons, visible vaginas, and many other kind of sexual themed props ingame. We already have sex scenes. We don't want actual pron for jerking off. What we want is to expand on what is already in the game.
Remove the superficial censor, and add more scenarios where the whole idea of sex, drugs and rock and roll can be sold to us. Because as things are in the game currently simply feels half arsed/unfinished.
