You have been hired by CD Projekt Red as Story Developer for CYBERPUNK 2077. Much has been done for NIght City but they have decided to not do Johnny Silverhand in your head as the main quest. You are given the option of selecting and expanding on any of the existing content but NOT making up a new adventure whole cloth as the focus for the game.
What do you make the main quests and how? How do you modify it.
EXAMPLES:
1. The Murder of the Mayor
Rather than Johnny Silverhand and the heist, you are actually sent to investigate the murder of the mayor and become involved in the conspiracy to kill him, cover it up, and control the election afterward. The Peralzes thing is the central plot but is actually not something that affects the story on the ground. You can complete the game and side with multiple factions but it won't prevent you from doing more missions post-game.
Endings:
* Side with Mr. Blue Eyes
* Side with Mayor Holt and the SSI Company
* Side with the Peralzes
* Work with the media, Regina Jones, to expose it all
2. Brain Dance Snuff Ring
This is a much darker and seedier game than the one we got with a focus on missions like the serial killer in River's Quest, Evelyn Parker, Clouds, and those scummy Brain Dance editors. You are hired to investigate some dirty brandances and discover the enormous Snuff Film ring in Night City where serial killers and rapists are paid to do their business for larger and larger crowds. You basically have to dismantle the entire operation one bit at a time while realizing the whole things is composed of cops, politicians, and other people. All of the horrible rings and murders are interlinked by one enormous conspiracy.
It'll half Taken and half Man on Fire.
* Endings:
* Snuff Ring Dismantled: Its members dead and its victims saved.
* Corporate Braindance: You make a deal and sell all the information from it to corporations who make harmless but realistic alternatives for the hardcore porn market. It's just made from the real deal. You get paid for other people's misery.
* Walk Away: You take an enormous bribe of $250,000 Eddies and leave your friends like Judy and River to die.
* The Conspiracy Wins: A bad ending for not doing enough, the conspiracy escapes and goes on. Your character fails to achieve anything.
* Wrath of God: You team up with some fanatics to spike all the brain dance snuff and kill the entire customer base. Something akin to 20,000 people are killed.
3. Cyberpsycho Hunt
The player character is a former member of the NCPD who is fired from their job due to whatever reason and they are sent on a hunt to investigate the Cyberpsycho attacks around the city that have been increasing in frequency. You gradually discover it's all a corporate conspiracy of some kind to test their new weaponry. Each of the questlines results in you taking down a different Cyberpsycho just as they're about to be activated. Eventually you realize it's you against a megacorp. Can you stop it or even damage it?
* Go into Hiding: You publicize your findings and Arasaka gets several board members to commit suicide as well as others executed. You are now marked as their enemy.
* Purge: Arasaka handles it quietly with your help and the cyberpsycho program is shut down. You are paid a great deal to keep your mouth shut.
* Upgrade: You take the information about cyberpsychos research publicize it. Maelestrom, Voodoo Boys, and others upgrade as a result and the city becomes even more chrome.
* Militech: You storm the research facility, gain all the psycho research and have Militech to protect you. They start on their own program.
