No Mans Sky had a release like cyberpunk 2077. Everyone was hating on hello games (dev studio) for cut content and advertising the game with features which were not in the final product.

After years of hard work No Mans Sky is an absolut amazing game with tons of content updates that came for free.

Now many people want the same approach for CP2077
No Man Sky has no 10 times the active player based that it had 4 years ago after release.

But CDPR is much bigger and richer company, 1 year of hard work, maybe less, should do the trick.

Not sure if that's realistic. They might add some side content as DLC (the casino?), they will IMO add some end game too and new mechanics. Then they move on to multi player.

I don't expect stuff like missions that were replaced by the Jackie's montage and I don't expect changes to the main story.

So this is my prediction.

And to be honest, i agree with you that CDPR is not concerned or else, they would have been a lot more active in the forums.

As far as I know there was little to no communication from No Man's Sky devs for a good while after that game released. They just got on with fixing the game instead. That could be a similar case here too.

You might as well forget about multiplayer and DLC for the foreseeable future. Or any new "content" whatsoever.

If the rumors are true (and there's no reason to believe they aren't given the circumstances), CDPR is hemorrhaging sales revenue in refunds right now. And their first priority is going to be getting the game fixed, stable, and optimized for last gen consoles (this, according to CDPR directly), with the express priority of getting it back onto the PS store. All of which will cost additional resources that were not accounted for before this whole mess. So where is the revenue for their yet-to-be-developed multiplayer game and DLC going to come from?

CDPR themselves announced that ALL plans they remarked on prior to launch are now on hold while they reassess the situation. But the necessary roadmap going forward couldn't be more clear, even to the average person:

debug and optimize the game for ALL platforms
perform whatever tasks are necessary to restore Sony's confidence and get the game back onto the PS store
mechanical gameplay fixes to improve the overall experience (such as NPC A.I. and the like)

And that's just the short-term list. But it's extremely daunting and time consuming. But necessary to rebuild some of the reputation that was sacrificed by releasing this game in it's current state.

It's probably because they don't have much to gain from saying anything. A lot of the criticism directed at this game goes waaaay overboard. A lot of it doesn't. Either way you can rest assured anything they would throw out there right now is going to get tore a new one.

Top priority is bringing the game back to the playstation store.

Cutting content from a base game and then presenting it as extra content is not a novelty, all companies do it.
CDPR is not some kind of hero, they just use that fake marketing and clearly the trimmed content exists and will be presented as a novelty.
The video does not add anything useful, they are only catching some visits

Obviously I will caveat what I am saying by stating that it is in response to unsubstantiated claims. That said, it is clear that censorship has taken place in this game, the question then becomes why? Why a mature rated game is seemingly afraid of being mature. I would assume this comes down to meeting regulations in foreign markets, but the problem with applying the needs of one market to all markets is that it allows censorship to be applied where it would not usually be the case, and for that force to come from outside of our regulatory processes.

Ultimately if a decision maker wanted access to a large market but that market demanded changes then this is what localisation is for. Allowing a foreign power to dictate what I do or do not see isn't going to win me over.

How long it is "deleted" now? Almost 3 weeks? I think Sony will have a lllooooonnnng breath. With their exclusives etc.

I like those videos

Don't see what's wrong with that as long as it's free.
I mean, it's a bit of a short sighted strategy for a single player game. By now alot of the fans will have finished, been meh about it, then moved on. The paid DLC or whatever was cut will have to be substantial to draw them back.

It's also about creating a long tail for the game.

The Wticher 3 showed them pretty comprehensively how important sales years down the track can be.

Making sure your game is solid and everything it can be is future sales, repeat sales on different platforms etc.

no way you can merge Solid Snake and Foltest, sounds ridiculous i could believe Big Boss and Foltest maybe but Solid Snake no way.

Yeah...

If this is true the version of Silverhand with Keanu sounds much better.

Yeah - I like Keanuhands / Silvereeves / Johnu / whatever amalgamation fans will eventually settle on.

I really like the one liners he has on missions, I really like having his views and opinions, I like being able to tell him to shut up.

...I just don't like that it is the core endgame of the damn story.
