Multiplayer? Or Extra DLC/Expansions

Another piece of hidden cut maps has been found! This Club casino also appears on the offical concept art Game! I think CDPR should forget about multiplayer at the moment!!! and all the manpower redirect to the main Cyberpunk and return a lot of promised content and bring the game to the state it was promised!!!

Idk, they probably shouldn't touch MP until they work out all the kinks with the single player game... Wait until they figure out how to balance the game, rework what needs to be and treat it kinda like a beta until things just click. Then figure out what MP will consist of. That said, I would hope SP DLC takes priority over MP

I'm not against Mulitiplayer for Cyberpunk as long as it doesn't affect the continued development of the Single-Player game. My preference is Single-Player games all day, every day. I would love it if they updated Cyberpunk 2077 like Destiny 2, with a big 'ol update yearly with other nice small stuff throughout the year. Minus the content vaulting because that wouldn't make sense for an offline Single-Player game. The Universe of Cyberpunk is huge and could possibly support content updates like that.

Now if they are going the Titanfall/Apex route that could be a good/bad thing. As anyone who has played that franchise knows. It takes FOREVER for new lore, stories, maps, and skins to come out. But as they have said the two titles are being led by two completely different teams. Also, CDPR devs, if any of you are perusing this thread please for the love of the cosmos DON'T MAKE A DAMN BATTLE PASS WITH FOMO MECHANICS! (ahem sorry)

Now if they really go "whole-hog" and do the Apex thing then I wouldn't know how to feel about that. Waiting months and months and months for the next dribblets of the story is a pain in the ass. However, it would help with the in-between time of waiting for major Single-Player updates, new releases, possible expansions or sequels to the main story, etc. This being CDPR I don't think they would fuck over the story for the sake of "Seasonally-Structured" bare minimum updates. If they do then that would really suck.

More positively, I would hope things that happen in the multiplayer would be mentioned in the Single Player. That they wouldn't be completely separated narratively speaking. Much like the N54 News updates, could be cool to hear about your Multiplayer Character or whatever we would be doing in the multiplayer be mentioned in the background while we do badass shit as V.

But that's just my two cents, Single-Player should always come first.

Yes, but first it is essential that all jobs are directed to the single-player!!! in order for dev team to return the cut-out content, it has finished the functions it missed, expasion issued. Only then focus on Multiplayer!!! But the first one needs to work on the game to make it as cdpr presented it before. and contained the features previously promised by the CDPR!!!

I voted single player, however If we were going to get multiplayer I'd want it to be more like co-op. Lobby's at some place like the afterlife, assemble a crew and get gigs posted, then go on a run. You can play with your friends or earn rep and have people want to work with you based on your suscesses. It would be fun to see other runs going down while you're just walking around or on your way to an objective, that other players are pulling off.

At the moment? Neither DLCs nor MP is anything I'd be looking forward to.

Reasoning:
- The game is too buggy, unstable and imbalanced for any kind of MP mode. In fact in their action games thus far CDPR have never created a balanced experience, and CP77 is probably the most "broken" in this regard. The MP would need to be CO-OP focused, and even then the lack of balancing will be a problem.
- CP77s story doesn't lend itself to DLCs as it stands, because all the endings are low-note "you're dead" type of deal, so any kind of pre-ending missions / quests would feel... miniscule. Unless CP, as part of a DLC, changes the endings somehow...? But I honestly don't see this happening.

seriously??
the clothing...

your trolling right?

Nope.
The look of your character is always a important part for every MP game. To the point that most of this games survive with cosmetics goodies in their real-life money shop.
And what do we have with CP2077?

Some of the hideous characters ever made, with ugly clothes and no means to change hairstyles, tatooes or any single aspect of your MC.

My current armor : A bandanna, gasmask, red bikini, yellow jacket, mini-skirt and armored boots.
Classy...

take a look at your Vs forum, shows a lot of cool outfits

*sarkasm on* but your right.. comparing to GTA Online you look like a clown, because all the stuff and combinations look good at GTA *sarkasm off*

if you pick stuff to look like a clown, its kinda your fault.. isnt it?

I don’t give a hoot about multiplayer, so expansion/DLC is the vote.

I have no idea what sort of expansion/DLC would fit the bill, though. Thorough readjustment of the character systems and gameplay aside, and that shouldn’t even be a DLC, but a patch.

More storytelling for V feels kinda wrong (given the state of gameplay and the existing core narrative, as retconning the endings to be open for continuation sounds cheap and uninspiring and further side content is kinda just more grinding before the eventual ending which most know of already).

A new character might fit the bill, but to what end so that it’d offer something fresh?

The game is a bit hazy at the moment on how it could be expanded for the better. Because simply adding more content to it as it is now wouldn’t make it better, just an even heavier (and worst case scenario, feeling even more directionless) experience.

I have ZERO interest in Multiplayer... Im glad its separate from the main game, atleast. But Its obvious that development is split, no matter what they claim. I strictly play single player, offline games. I dont want to create an account, I dont want to require an online connection, and I dont enjoy playing games with others. They either rush through content in coop mode, or abuse systems in pvp. I dont find any of it enjoying.

MP is actually THE reason that I still havent bought RDR2, or GTAV. Not only does the game come with it attached, but the single player never got updates because all focus went to the cash cow online modes...

Definetly new content in form of DLCs and expansions. To this point I can't even think of a multiplayer based on the current game. Not in regards to bugs and glitches but the game mechanics itself. Therefore I'd rather see new ares in the game or new storys than a multiplayer mode.

Both. If it comes to what comes down to what comes out first, DLC.

*cough* Takemura Romance post *spoiler* ending and moving in with River in a place full time please where negatively interacting with/around cops affects your relationship. *cough*

Modders will vastly improve the single player game as they have done for Fallout and Skyrim.... a multiplayer will not be moddable and already they censored this game heavily even though no one else but the owner can see a single player game - imagine how much multiplayer will be nerfed and dumbed down and censored once they start to fear that it might open up to a younger audience. It will be vanilla beyond belief. Multiplayer would be populated by PVP griefers, scammers, and abusive 12 yr olds hopping onto every surface, driving cars on pavements to wreck shops and kill pedestrians and spamming chat channels with insults, what a nightmare ! Give us the single player game we actually thought we were buying then creative value added through expansions/DLCs

I think modders will save this game if CDPR gives us a proper mod kit this time around, which I really really really think is in their best interests. It still baffles me why all single player game developers don't supply their games with proper mod support after seeing the success of Fallout 3/NV/4, Skyrim and Oblivion. The mods are the whole reason why those games are still alive today, and half the reason they are so popular in the first place.
