Animated deaths vs rag doll physics?

+
Yes animated deaths can get repetitive, or they did in the old school games. I remember when rag doll physics came out it was so cool but now at this point in gaming rag doll is getting repetitive.

The only way to do it now is to mix it up. Both rag doll and animated deaths in a game? That would be fun as, provided there are plenty of animations.

Shoot perp in organic arm, he drops his weapon and grabs his wound. Shoot perp in organic leg, he hops around. Blow perps leg off with shotgun..perp enters animated death sequence that's has him hop around...interrupt death animation with a shotgun blast to the head turning mr perp into a rag doll...mix it up and it could be GREAT!

The likes of which we gamers have never seen yet.

Voted both. Would be nice if, on a random roll, one of those Boosters you popped had a nice, cinematic exit from the stage.

("Cinematic" in quality; not suggesting a cutscene.)

Explosions definitely need ragdoll. Anything else should be animated. Any weapon extremely powerful should thump your enemy and maybe throw him back a bit but not a full on ragdoll 8 foot groundslide with limbs flailing around. It would seem like a little too much.
