Why am I never nude?

I can take my clothes off in my inventory, but yet i leave my inventory and I am wearing underwear? Also my female character has a phallus, but when the game forces me to be a never-nude (underwear), it looks as if I am a woman.. (no bulge either).

Why is there even nudity at all in the inventory, if you can't actually role play with it in the actual game? There is no consistency here. If a game advertises that there will be full frontal nudity, and says this will be a game made for mature adults, why the back peddle? I never understand this. They need to address this and patch it.

I mean... if a player can cut another humans head off with a sword.... why can't we streak in the streets of night city.. If this is an actual role playing game made for mature adults, why is sexuality continuing to be censored. Just to be clear, I am not asking for a pornographic game, I am asking for my character to be representative of the character which was ACTUALLY CREATED. These options were in character creation, then make no actual difference to gameplay... why would i want it inventory only.... does not make any sense. I was super happy to see these options in character creation. But the game does not reflect these choices at all.

Please dont lock this thread, or remove it. Clearly this is IMPORTANT to the community, so don't censor us as well as the nudity in the game.

already answered this is by design. either get one of the mods on nexus, complain until devs reverse this if ever or live with it.

killing people (even cops) in many different ways, thieving, heavy drugs, destroying 500k citizens with a nuclear bomb - are civil game behavior, allowed and encouraged.
naked human body - not civil and not allowed, call the holly inquisition!!!
that's the stupid world we live in.
I hope by real 2077 humanity will get rid of those prejudices brought to our heads 500 years ago.

I agree, it's illusion of choice at it's worst. why have the option at all if it's built into the game that the nudity sensor is on no matter what you choose. and if they didn't want us to take pictures of our characters in such a way yet again why give us the option. waste of development time.

I don't remember the exact date but I think they repented and changed their minds after 2 weeks adding censorship.

Imo thats one of the biggest problem in media entertainment. Its ok for everybody to watch the use of tools of death in the various ways, but the watch of tools of "life" is restricted.

I can understand this in online games when our choice of uhm air cooled testicles is offending the other player that walks in our direction with his full armored knight but whats the point in a singleplayer game i ask?

Yeah, according to society this far: Psycho -> Good; Nude (even in an Ancient Greek non-sexual way) -> Bad. Prude behaviour can go eat a d*ck alongside Johnny. If by real '77 (or sooner, FFS) those prejudices aren't a thing of the past, well, let's quote Jaskier (quoting Geralt): "If that's what the world needs to be saved, perhaps it would be better that it perish."

Apparently it's intended. So you can customize V's genitals in character creation, view V naked in the inventory screen, yet in-game the pants remain.

The pants stay on even in Judy's romance scene. Judy herself is completely naked. You also see Alt without anything on below the waist plus more besides throughout the course of the game.

It just makes no sense.
