GENERAL QUESTIONS

PURCHASING AND INSTALLING

Can I purchase the games by CD PROJEKT RED on digital platforms?

On March 3rd we have halted any sales of our games to Russia or Belarus until further notice. Thus purchasing any games by CD PROJEKT RED on any digital platform is not possible at the moment for players located in Russia or Belarus.

Can I purchase the box version of the games in offline and online stores?
Following our statement about halting sales of our games to Russia or Belarus, we have ceased physical stock deliveries to those markets. At the same time some stores may still have unsold stock of box versions of CD PROJEKT RED games delivered earlier and they still may be selling this stock. No additional deliveries of stock are planned until further notice.

I purchased a digital version of the game before the suspension of sales on March 3rd. Can I install and play it?
Yes, you can. The decision to halt any sales of our games to Russia or Belarus does not impact the installation process for previously purchased CD PROJEKT RED games.
The only exception is reinstalling GWENT: The Witcher Card Game.

I have a box version of the game. Can I install and play it?
Yes, you can. Please remember that the box PC version of the game contains a GOG redeem code — to redeem it you need to have a GOG account.

I have an unused redeem code for CD PROJEKT RED game. Can I redeem it?
If you have an unused redeem code for the game, you can redeem it and play the game.
Please note that redeeming of the code from the boxed PC version of Cyberpunk 2077 requires a GOG.com account.
To redeem a code from the boxed PC version of The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt expansions (Hearts of Stone and Blood and Wine), a player needs either to have a GOG.com account or to exchange the GOG.com code for a Steam or Origin one. Please visit this page for more details: thewitcher.com/exchange

Excellent solution not to let people in Russia to buy your games, that's definitely will change things to better, right, CDPR?

Do you really believe that the majority of russians want war or they can just stop it by doing - what?

Now it's the highest level of hypocrisy I've ever seen. You "punish" all russians for actions of government, but we don't start to hate them more (again, there are a lot of people who don't like them). We start to hate everyone who "cancel" russians, but not the government, we are NOT responsible for their actions.

Damn, I played Cyberpunk 2077 almost for 400h, I preordered it and supported you the whole year... and now that. Good bye, CDPR, hope you'll change your mind.

I think allowing this to be open to comments was probably A BAD IDEA, because there's very little discussion that can be had that will benefit anything to do with anything here.

I appreciate the communication about this though and the words of support for those suffering in Ukraine. I just think that could have been said without opening it up for discussion. Mark my words, this thread will be filled with flames.

I reported my own post. Too angry and tired with all the bombings and air raids here.
I still really support CDPR's decision, but personal attacks are not the way.

Good news, thank you from the Ukrainian people! but if you close the forum for Russian-speaking people, why not make a translation or Ukrainian forum cdprojektred so that we can communicate and write to you about bugs, because there is no support in Ukrainian, the only way out is Google Translate. I would like to know more, Russian localization, we all Ukrainians know Russian and Ukrainian as our own. we are not asking you to make a Ukrainian localization in the game because it would be expensive, but we ask in the future, at least to get closer to it. because not everyone knows English, although they will soon have to learn. Thank you cdprojektred

I think The idea is to put Russians against putin.

I dont think a single company will do that, but If a lot of companies do The same, than People in Rússia will get really angry with putin

You are wrong, people become angry with companies which cancel russians, so It works directly in the opposite way
Well People need to understand this is temporary.

If i am a Russian and i am against War i would be glad with companies doing those kind of thing to try to stop The War.

But I can see that a vídeo game is more importante than humans lives

Yep. I lack the context to understand the feelings of the Polish people in regard to Russian aggression. The closest I can get is that I have a friend who grew up in Romania under the Iron Curtain, and just the word "Russia" sends her into a tirade. So, I think I understand the importance to CDPR of being up front about this.

But I'm expecting a massive flame war. Maybe that's what they want -- give people a chance to express either their gratitude or vent their annoyance, and then move on from there.
