Help please! Sound causes me to restart computer after hour of play please read

yes i play the game just fine..but after an hour of play the sounds starts to screw up and skip around till its so bad that i cant even play it even more..then when i exit the game it crashes, and for some reason it reqiures me to reboot my pc for it to be normal again..and then another hour later.....it does the same thing...PLEASE HELP ME

What are the specs of your system?

there good enough to play the game lol but yeah 2gigs of ram (only ddr1 though sucks, 3800 amd athlon X2, xfx geforce 8600 gt, (crappy asus a8n-sli se mobo, and two 320 gig hard drives with a 120 gig, but i have an old creative sound blaster audigy 4 sound card..think that might be the problem>
