Purple haze/static glitch

Purple haze/static glitch

When I play the game, I get this odd purple haze/static over certain areas that seems to occur in the location of light and particle effects. I took screenshots but oddly enough, it doesn't show at all in them. And yes, I've done all of the recommended stuff already.Any suggestions for fixing this?

all i can think of is bringing the resolution donw or tuning the graphic demands down, or decreasing the light/darkness thingy, really don't know :/
