I got two Christmas presents yesterday.
The first was my 970.
And the second was while I was in the shop getting my 'pooter cleaned (and the card installed). There were two guys there watching a custom-build PC being put together. It was a nice rig, and we got chatting. They said they were getting the new PC for a game called The Witcher 3, that they were really looking forward to.
Oh god lol....."pooter" lol....if you only knew what I thought you meant at first HAHAHAHAHAHHAHAHAH!!!
Glad to hear people are having good Christmases here. I had a pretty good one myself. Had a 'Friendmas' party last Friday to which we cooked a ton of good food. Wish I had remembered to take pictures, but it consisted off:
- A smoked ham glazd with brown suger and mustard
-A rotisserie chicken
-A huge batch of alcoholic eggnog (first time making it, turned out pretty well)
-Garlic mashed potatoes
-Stuffing
-Yams with brown sugar, pecans, and marshmallows
-Green bean casserole
Leftovers are still being consumed to this day. We then proceeded to play Cards Against Humanity which is always good times.
Last night, made more good food - Chicken Bryan with fettuccine alfredo (ok, not really fettuccine because I forgot we had all pasta type....except that one. And no way was I going out to the store again on Christmas Eve), and Trinidad style ponche crema (which I think is even better than eggnog).

Watched some holiday movies, opened one present at midnight, then slept out in the living room to enjoy the tree, woke up, then opened the rest. Got a lot of good stuff, but no one trusts themselves enough to buy me computer parts, so I went ahead and ordered a 970 today.

I am planing to do the same thing in 2 weeks...It is not common in my country to get Christmas presents, so I will have to do it myself

Pretty good Christmas, full time day with relatives. It was also my mom's birthday so double party (even if she cooked all the morning, before and during lunch, I just helped with starters and tiding up)
- Canapes with tuna, salmon and lumpfish roe; caponata; octopus salad; salmon; peanuts and pistachios
- Spaghetti with clams, asparagus and cherry tomatoes
- Fried squid; swordfish rolls
- Fruit; Pandoro and chocolate Panettone (without candied fruit or raisin)
Now, I don't eat much in general, but when I got up from the table, even the nativity scene set applauded.
It was a quiet day, then my 2 years old niece showed up and started playing and screaming, lol. "Dinner" consisted of pandoro and panettone because no one was enough brave to eat something, later I and my bf sat up in my room playing videogames, watching tv, no interesting thing so we kept watching an history documentary about Montessori education, fascism, and later about the war in Etiopia... and eating panettone around midnight.
It was a really nice day, all warm and together.
About gifts... this year everyone nailed it for me, including me it seems (though I doubt about someone)
Sleeved blanket (this), hell yeah my laziness lv is +100 now, I will not move from my couch. 50€ gift card for my faithful library; PS4 + inFamous + The Evil Within; The World of Ice and Fire book; Shadow of Mordor, and money from my relatives.
Post Christmas day... I'm not hungry at all, but I know my mom will prepare something because... yeah, well, lunch.
