WHOA O.O

That is one glorious steam store front page!! There are some seriously huge games coming to Linux!!! Geralt, Mordor, and even the new Batman are coming :D

.......just hope the ports aren't janky :p

Isn't it on GOG already?

Anyway, just to have a more complete Linux thread I will remind everyone Pillars of Eternity was released yesterday, with day 1 Linux support. Not very common.

The game itself is quite good and I encourage all cRPG fans to try it and support top tier, DRM free multiplatform releases.

I meant the Linux version. Their announcement only mentions Steam. But expect it to be released on GOG too.

I bought it, but will be busy for a while, and such game requires attention it deserves (otherwise it breaks the immersion). I'll start playing it a bit later.

GOG seems to have a lot of problems in general with patches and updates, sometimes requiring you to redownload the entire game.

What would be a good solution to this problem? I think this is kind of serious since it's obviously detracting companies from offering their games DRM-Free on GOG.

Also why is it old time games didn't have so many patches? I remember installing THE one patch for Baldur's Gate 2 back in the day. Same with Icewind Dale 2.

@volsung: The next version is called Stretch. But I have "testing" in my apt configs, so I never really change them. That's my /etc/apt/sources.list
Code:
# Debian testing
deb http://ftp.us.debian.org/debian/ testing main contrib non-free
deb-src http://ftp.us.debian.org/debian/ testing main contrib non-free

deb http://security.debian.org/ testing/updates main contrib non-free
