The worldwide pre-orders for The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt have exceeded 1 million!

“We’ve crossed the 1 million pre-order milestone and it’s all thanks to you guys! We would like to thank all the gamers for their trust and support,” said Marcin Iwiński, co-founder, CD PROJEKT RED. “This is the last stretch and we’re pushing hard -- over the last two weeks, we’ve increased performance on all platforms and started working full speed on the expansions, Hearts of Stone & Blood and Wine.” concludes Iwiński.

We all knew the Witcher 3 would sell well from day 1. It has to do with awareness for the game.

Xbox One retail - no online requirement
PS4 retail - no online requirement
PC retail - online requirement.

PC retail version with online requirement and drm dlc, drm patches, drm updates. Making the PC retail version not require internet and no drm wouldn't have changed the sales at all. It would have increased sale numbers.

So this 1 million pre-orders should not be taken as a mile stone after what CDPR did to the PC retail version. PC retail with no online requirement for a single player game and no DRM. That was the dream. But CDPR is just the same like the rest of the publishers.

At least now I know. Don't pre-order Cyberpunk 2077. Spread the, don't pre-order Cyberpunk 2077, message. And the don't trust CDPR as a publisher message.

Thank you for fucking up the PC retail version and showing your true colours as a publisher.

PC retail - internet requirement. You shouldn't be proud about 1 million pre-orders. After what CDPR did with the retail PC version. CDPR doesn't deserve to be supported for that piece of shit PC retail product they putting out there.
