what armor type for sign build?

I'm level 4 sign build, I'm currently wearing all light armor (my chest has 41 def). Should I keep light armor or would it be better to go with something else?

Medium Armor (Griffin School Set) + passive for extra intensity for each medium piece.

Yep nothing more to say here this is the best way to go.

Kk I'll go with medium armor when I find schemes or the blacksmiths decide to sell medium armor and not light one.

As stated the best medium is in fact the Witcher Griffin set obtainable at level 8 roughly. This is because it has a set amount of Sign Intensity bonuses that other medium armor you find may not. And once you hit level 14 and so on it upgrades further.

Your choice would be to find a guide online. Or try to find it naturally by buying the appropriate map from a vendor. If your lucky you may also randomly stumble upon it which also starts the quest.
