How to find griffin school gear?

Now that I'm level 8 do I have to look for it in random chests?

There's 3 different places you get the diagrams from to craft them, just select the quest and read the notes and it will show you the areas on the map that you need to go to (one area is that tower on the far edge with a wyvern perched high atop of it and it's a Level 14 I believe, it's a little tricky getting to the diagram, you have to explore.)

You can try it at Level 8 but you might want to gain another level or two before attempting the quest as you'll be facing enemies that range up to Level 14.

If you have the maps, it should appear on your map just like any other quest

If you get lost, google it.

If you find merchants which sell maps, buy them (they are not expensive) and read them. You'll get the quest and the marked positions on the map where to find them.
