CP77 Wardrobes and Styles

i am not sure about mods......yeah they can be cool but just look at Skyrim...

i dont think i want to have this.....it would destroy the atmosphere of Night City if there were tons of ponys....

Hmm strange that Sard haven't thanked it or gave REDpoint yet, because he of all people I suspect to be brony.

I swear, if Sard is a brony, I will SO ban him. Even though I'm no mod. I will find a way.

Utter destruction of his account.

I'm just thinking, if he likes Twilight (i seen few minutes of film and it was awkward), and his..interesting personality, made conclude he might secretly be brony. it's just a hunch, based of speculation, wild guessing, plastic bag and Moment glues.

Cyberpunk clothes should be about functionality, blending in, being tactile, look inconspicuous but have bullet proof coating, ammo slots. It should also represent different cultures and social classes and their future clash, like some japanese fashion cultures.

It shouldn't look like your part of a 80's rock band, emo/goth,industrial youth group, or fantasy space knight.

All them outfits look good, though also very expensive (if I were a Nomad traveling through a crowd I bet one of the first people I'd look at is the guy/girl with the designer-looking treads, so its really not that stealthy). Also, that comicbook URL (with the Police hat and Kevlar-vest) isn't inconspicuous to you? Cause if I personally saw some person walking down the street with a handgun, police cap, Kevlar and a few other things you bet I'd notice it.

Many of them outfits also look to similar (I don't think everyone here would want to look as though their some big shot coming from a corporate meeting room). Their nice though, I'll give you that, however I believe the clothes of CP77 should appeal to everyone's tastes (not just yours or even mine, that way we'd have a rich selection of clothing that can truly make us unique and even very vocal of how we are).

Totally agree, these were just a couple of examples I could find and mostly represents corps, rich people and police unit/bot.

No dude.. You are wrong.. Well, first of all, while I am all for all sorts of clothing and armor options, in Cyberpunk, it is all about "style over substance". functionality does play a part in it, but not a huge part. It is more like, you will wear anything that you fancy. (especially if you went fbc.) It can be as colorful or as black as you may want. In Cyberpunk armor is not something that protects you from everything. It is more like in real life, if it really protects you from elements, it is heavy, uncomfortable, hard to move around and more often than not, impractical. (will slow you down) They have a bullet type for every kind of armor. So in that way, someone may choose not to wear any armor or wear a lightly armored leather jacket instead. That jacket could have a little bit of metal armor, or maybe something like this:

What I mean is, in Cyberpunk, it is possible to see any kind of outfit and armor. Having more armor is not always better. What you wear is how people will perceive you, wearing stuff like you are going in for a full blown assault (maybe unless you are a cop or Max-Tac or something) will not always help your case. Thats what I think anyway. I wish Wisdom was here, he could tell you all about it.. Or ChrisWebb2020.. Or Sard.. Ok.. maybe not Sard.. You never know with that guy.. :D

But ... but ... I want to wear a chainmail bikini !

If chainmail bikini is what you want, chainmail bikini what you should get!

Also chainmail dress:

And chainmail shoes!

And chainmail gloves:

Because why not? :D It is style over substance and it is a style... I guess..

Or maybe not..

As a 90s kid that I am (and proud to be), Sketch Turner (Comix Zone) was to me the definition of cool. Who wouldn't want to be him: comic book artist (sucked into his own comic book), member of a rockband, martial artist and clad in a blend of of thrasher and grunge fashion... I'd like to be able to replicate that kind of look which in my opinion wouldn't be out of place in Cyberpunk.

And yeah, that is a pet rat on his shoulder. That's cyberpunk too, when rats is all you can afford in the way of pets. His gf Alyssa Cyan, which is a character from his comic book (no dork) also has a Molly Millions vibe.

Another very 90s group of characters, this time from proper comic books, that can inspire Cyberpunk's wardrobe are Jim Lee's designs for X-men, specially Jubilee (say what you want about her dishwasher gloves, but her trenchcoat and sunglasses look pretty cyberpunk).

More modern, but also very cyberpunk looking are the designs of X-treme X-men, specially Rogue and Bishop's.

Diversity of style is probably more important to a true cyberpunk game than in any other type of game.

2077 will have to cover all sorts of distinctive styles using materials like denim, leather, PVC, faux fur, metal, plastics and who knows what else. The corporates will be wearing suits, but they wont look the same as each other;

Just by changing the material and/or the cut you end up with different styl;es that barely resemble each other.

Style in 2077 is going to have to blow the previous examples out of the water.

Nice to look at maybe .. hell to actually wear. You'd overheat walking down the street cause laytex doesn't breath.

21st century, who knows, maybe they could use some sort of technological breakthrough to create some sort of PVC that acts like a semipermiable membrane?

I hope that clothing choice is more along the lines of Blade Runner and the art that we see in Cyberpunk. One thing that I couldn't forgive Satellite Reign for was the bright neon that highlighted the entirety of a characters clothing. Lights are cool and all, but I think they serve architecture much better than they do apparel. Not to say that certain celebrity's wouldn't have full light up suits and gowns, and I am definitely all for light indicators on different gadgets and equipment, but it would be distasteful to me for EVERYONE to be all lit up like a Decker from Saints Row. Maybe a character or two, but not much more (and of course it would be great to have as optional for players choice). As far as clothing, I am really open to anything, I think they could really make anything fit. It just doesn't need to be drowned in lights to do it is all I am saying.

I really like this one, it would be a cool look for a Nomad I think.

I so want them to include the raincoats these mobs, who are essentially the same character in Final Fight and Streets of Rage (notice their allergy to showing their front sides to the camera and choice of attire), are wearing.

If the game is moddable, the sky is the limit on what outfits and styles you might be able to flaunt about. There could be more options in one mod than there are options in the base game, one mod of hundreds.

With all the talk of multiplayer though, my dream of cyberpunk being moddable withers and cyberpunk might be doomed to be a hundred hour game rather than a multi-thousand hour game, as Skyrim was. (Maybe I hit a thousand in Fallout 4 too but can't be sure of that.)
