Patch 1.07 "no space" install error

I downloaded patch 1.07 from GOG, and when I try to install it, it says "There is not enough system disk space for this update". The game is installed on an SSD drive with 82.7 GB of free space (that's the OS drive btw). What is going on?

Not sure. Is your drive partitioned?

Nope, not partitioned.

Try moving the installation path for Steam to a directory in the root of your drive. Basically, ensure it is not being installed under C:\Program Files (x86)\Steam\... but rather C:\Steam\... ​directly.

I'm not using Steam, I bought the game from GOG. Anyway, I figured out what the problem was. My temporary files folder was on a 4GB ramdisk, and the patch apparently needs 7GB of temporary space to expand the files into. After I changed the temp dir location back to the OS drive, I had no problem installing. My bad!
