== Comfy Couch v0.9
== tested with: TW2 Enhanced Edition (GOG, eng, initial release)
== not tested: Arena Mode, optional Tutorial

=== DESCRIPTION
I'm playing the game myself on a plasma tv in 1080p and all the text is incredibly small, the pure white text on dark background didn't help much either. With the release of the EE/360 I hoped CDPR would introduce an UI which would properly scale with resolution. After sadly seeing nothing changed, I took a deeper look into TW2's UI files. I changed the size & color of all the UI text, from the Main Menu to NPC One-liners to the Journal, hopefully everything. I ran into a few restrictions though; some text I couldn't edit, it would have destroyed the original layout, cut-off text and so on. In these cases I tried the best possible scaling text and use more eye-friendly colors. I couldn't test everything thoroughly as I would've liked, that's why it's v0.9. I hope -with enough feedback- I can bring this mod to a polished v1.0 release.

Feedback appreciated.

I'm playing on a regular monitor (not a TV) but my vision isn't perfect and the original text was a bit on the small side for me. I'm definitely glad you made this mod :D I'm going to try it out right away :D

Listen, there is no text in the game with your new comfyfont.dzip

Weird, works fine for me.

Could you please check your \CookedPC\globals\gui\fonts\ folder if there is a file called "fonts.csv". If yes, back it up and delete it, the file shouldn't be there (it's probably from a different mod).

Yes. I have fonts.csv there. Delete it?
My version of the game is russian from GOG site. But if polish id OK Russian should be OK too...

I've deleted it. It's OK for now, but fonts without comfyfont.dzip I think is little better.
Looking forward for the next your versions ;=))

Yes, you need to delete it.
But make a backup, in case you want to use it later on. "fonts.csv" is not part of the standard installation, you probably downloaded it as part of a different mod.

Russian works too, btw: http://i.imgur.com/oJqMQ.jpg

Edit: too late..

No, it's not a part of a different mod. I've tried myself to increase the fonts and unpacked pack0.dzip with help of Witcher 2 RED Tools/ But I didn't ;=)))

Better wait for a next version of your mod for bigger fonts for right low part below of inventory with descriptions of items

Hey, great mod, just wanted to say this here as well. It's good that you've decided to separate the fonts from the mod itself. Personally I would like to see a more gothic font.
Something like this - http://perfectworlds.files.wordpress.com/2011/12/skyrim-low4.jpg
The comfy font is easily readable, but for me it's not befitting with the games's art style.

@slimgrin
Glad you like it. :)

@artox
Yeah, highest priority for the font was readability. If you know of a good Freeware "Fantasy" Font, let me know.

Dark11 and Morpheus

A mix of these two will get you close to the font that was used for TW1. Both can be found at Fonts4Free
