first. what is the max lvl u can go up to
I believe that would be Level 50, although I haven't made it that far :D
second after u beat the game can u still do things with your hi lvl caricter life still kill things for fun or w/e
You can't take your high spec Geralt and play on, no. The game is very story-driven and once the final curtain is drawn, that's it for this particular story... for now ;)You can play two additional adventures, Side Effects and The Price of Neutrality, where you start the module with either a few talents invested for you or a whole swag you can spend yourself (ie, you don't start with a zero'd Geralt). There's also a host of other adventures to check out if you want more from the world of The Witcher :)
third in act 1 a dog killed this girl that i had to walk home i got her to her dore and he just killed her as she was going in she is the 1 your supposed to bone in the mill or what ever she is dead now what
aw, right at the door, that sucks :( And that sounds like Vesna in the She's No Early Bird quest :) Despite it not being a very safe area, Vesna can indeed be found at the Mill... sometimes... if the company is right ;)If Vesna has died and you have taken the She's No Early Bird optional quest, then she won't be available for any further interactions.
forst -last question... how do i get a silver sword
Have patience, my friend, have patience :) This will take care of itself in good time :)

After 60th it's "legendary witcher" but I didn't get to 70th :teeth:As lovely_psycho said, it's too early for you to get a silver sword ;)

Are you playing a demo version or do you own the game? I ask because you have not registered it, yet.The full version of this game does not "blow", but you get out what you put in. If you don't do the side quests, the story is not as full as it would have been if you had. If all you want to do is slay bosses, then all you will get is slain bosses. Me, personally, my first time playing through took 12 weeks, or more than 200 hours, but I'm the type of player who talks to every NPC and does all the side quests I can find. There is no multiplayer option for the Witcher. There are mods, but you have to register your game to get them. The only RPGs I've personally played that had freeplay after the main quest was completed were Elder Scrolls, but you'll have to pay for those, too. Sorry, Quality games cost money to make.edit: There is Versus, but it's a browser based dueling game, not an rpg.

the witcher is not a game for monster and item farming you also can' t raid in the classical way this game is more story driven and you earn exp to advance probaby to level 60 by doing as many quests as possible there are online rpgs free to play some of them have premium memberships which offer you special adventures and items for a fee check this list for free rpg online games http://www.mmorpg.com/gamelist.cfm

there is no max level in witcher however players stops gaining skill points (talents) after level 50 so no real reward for getting higher level.

If you rush through everything at top speed, the game takes at least 20 hours to play. But why would you rush through at top speed -- you'd miss everything interesting. If you do all of the major quests and most of the side quests, it takes at least 40 hours to play, 60 is probably closer, and it can take more than a hundred if you ride ALL the rides and see ALL the sights. This game is rich in story, rich in humor, rich in detail. The storyis so rich that people have heated debates over many aspects of the story, arguing over which character is bad or which side is worse. And some aspects of the story only sink in after the second or third playing -- there's that much there. The humor is so rich that I laughed out loud many, many times during the game. The story is a bit dark, so humor is a necessary leavening, and they put a LOT of humor into this game. I've never laughed so much at anything so dark.As just one example of the level of detail, if you walk down the street and listen to the people talking, you can hear things that tell you a lot about the world. In Chapter 1, you overhear children playing The Beast, so you know that The Beast is weighing heavily on the village -- enough that children know that it exists and have come up with a game to manage their fears about it. In Chapter 2, you'll overhear people saying, "The only good elf is a dead elf" or "My friend Helda is a dwarf, and she's not like they say!" Ah, so there's racism going on, eh, with humans prejudiced against non-humans. That's interesting ... and it will play a huge part in the plot in chapters to come. This isn't a game you beat; it's a game you experience. If you focus solely on winning, you will miss nearly everything about this game that makes it interesting, unique, and special. Take it slowly, pay attention to what's happening around you, and you just might see why so many of us say that this is the best RPG ever made.

My character seems to top out around level 38 or 39 in the campaigns I've played. This is doing all the side quests according to the game guide. The best way to escort the girl is to simply run to the destination without stopping or fighting anything. Switch to group style sword for a turbo boost (Geralt must play Counter Strike or something). If you don't want to wait for the girl to catch up, go into her Grandmas house and then exit a few seconds later. Then fight the dogs alongside the militia.I thought this game would suck eggs when I got it. The Kaer Morhen level almost made me fall asleep. I only started to get into it halfway through level one. Stick through it. The game turns out pretty good.

Kaer Morhen level is pretty slow so stick through it. The only way you're even getting close to the higher levels is if you wait for mobs to repopulate so you can farm xp. I did this a considerable bit and did all the quests except for 2 and still only finished at 40 :p

level 38-40 is generally the level you are expected to get to if you do all the quests. Sure people can get more XP, but that requires some grinding, so if you are not into that, you have done about as well as humanly possible :) :peace:

You can combine completion of quests with exp when you don't rush through the locations or visit these at certain times of the day. There is a bunch of necrophages in the swamp (near a collapsed tower) at night who feed on corpses. So if you are in need of some Beggartick blossoms, the perfect time to harvest them is at night because you make a side trip to the necrophages ;D ah... and just a bit north west you will find some wyvern...

Some people call it grinding, but I prefer "protecting the innocent" :)Honest, what I mean is, it still is grinding, but the way the game works, you can change it into a way of expending the story, or your interpretation of it. At least in some places. There are several regions of the game which are "haunted" by monsters and thugs constantly. You will meet some nice people who live there, so you might want to make thier home safer for them. Even if you do it mostly for xp, you can convince yourself, you're actually playing the storline. It is not needed, but it adds to the atmosphere (if not overdone). So, if you're in Act I, and you run around at night, why not kill as many barghests if you're already there? It is a strong point of the game that even the grinding you can do is mostly embedded in the chain of storytelling. it is not: "Go there, kill all monster"-quests, it is a decission you can make or not.

As most responses in this thread, this was very nicely said. I agree. Since I have a knack for grinding, and I absolutely love the game, I was pretty scared that I would not be able to grind on monsters (not exp) if I wanted to. I am only in chapter II, but I am pleased to notice that I can actually grind my a$$ out every single day if I want. First there were the bereghasts, the drowners and the ghouls, now in act two are again drowners, drowner dead and the dogs in the city at night. I absolutely love the alchemy aspect in the game, so grinding for ingredients/oils give me a great deal of joy. I can go on doing quests for hours, but, after a while, all I need is to relax a bit. So I pack my mittens, hide my kittens and onward, to the swamps! :teeth:Man, this game will take me ages to finish :D

well if you like grinding .. talk to the con artist outside the sewers very early in the morning :peace:

Protect the innocent... :hmmm: well, this is a pretty nice expression ;)Actually you are busy with quest every where you go in the witcher world. And when you protect the innocent from time to time you get never bored. Nevertheless there could be more randomly scattered monsters so that you really stumble into them by chance. I mean it's a bit ridiculous, almost every time I leave Kalkstein's house in Old Vizima the cemetaurs have respawned.@YENK0 Wait until you get to Act IV, you will not only doing all kind of quests and protect the innocent but spend time to watch beautiful sunrise / sunset. It's a sin to miss it
