Game will not launch

I have both the boxed EE 2 and the GoG digital copy. I have run the install as admin, and still nothing. I wrote tech support, and no response in 72 hrs.

I also have all requirements to run the game.

I was playing fine, then after one day, Microsoft Windows Update wrecked my computer. After three days, System Restore managed to stick and I restored my computer to a reusable state. After that, TW2 does not launch. It enters the launcher, but does not proceed to the game. I reinstalled and it worked fine again.
