Your Favorite Gwent Card Set, Cards & Strategy

Monster and Scoital have poor card draw. This is why they are both terrible. Muster is an interesting idea, but it would work better if you put the muster cards into your hand and not into play. This could potentially flip the power scales to favor those two decks over Nilf/NR. As is, Nilf and...

What's the hold up on 1.07?

Sure, but why would anyone trust Hannibal Lecter?

What's the hold up on 1.07?

Thanks for the update. Was just wondering because the other patches have been rolling in pretty consistently. You released an update about a week ago and no details since. Tell the team good job with the patches so far, killed a few bugs that were affecting me and there honestly aren't alot...

Seriously getting sick of the AI in Gwent

I get that dude. What I listed is an end game deck. From the starting position that the game gives you, if you understand the mechanics of CCGs, it's really difficult to lose. The name of the game is card advantage. This is why leader powers, decoys, medics and spies are so powerful. To a...

GWENT too easy please add stronger players!

Except Gwent isn't a multiplayer game. It's a single player game against and AI. If you played Gwent against actual opponents, there would be two decks. The spy deck and the counterspy deck. Victory would be predetermined by how many spies the spy deck drew. There's no need to even play the hand.

Seriously getting sick of the AI in Gwent

A well built northern realms deck is pretty much impossible to beat. And while the AI DOES know what is in your hand, it doesn't always play its hand properly. Off the top of my head: 4 spies, Thaler, Djikstra, Stennis, Elf 1 Decoy 1 Scorch 2 Catapults 1 Combat medic 3 Reavers 3 Commandos...

I cant take these stupid cryptic trophies anymore 3 playthrough now going to need a 4th? f no

If it were basically impossible to fail, then it's not really an achievement is it? I like finding all the little hidden things tucked away in side quests and discoverable locations. When given the choice to "skip ahead farther into the story" and "do additional content", I always do the...

    Another Witcher? koenrad of Rinbe

All Witchers take new names and give up their old ones. Geralt is a bit of an exception but that's not really relevant here. We know the origins for Lambert, Eskel and Geralt, and can assume Berengar too because he was younger than at least Geralt. This is important because the table where...

Two Playthroughs, 230 hours later, The PWSD is real.

I am on my second playthrough. First playthrough was about 120 hours and I literally did every single quest except 3-4 that I missed because they are localized events and aren't obvious/don't happen until you literally walk up on them. Like the vampire in novigrad sewers. Thats a complete...

    Winning Gwent Cards from Merchants

Every time you talk to a new merchant, play gwent until you win. That way, when you run into a merchant that has ANY grey text, you know you played them already. And yes you will get crafting materials from a win where you already won a card. Oddly, if you have won all the winnable random...

    After Game Disappointment

That's the point. You wouldn't be said if the characters didn't mean anything. Think about that for a second. You are sad, because the characters that you shared this adventure with, are now gone. That means you cared about them in the first place. That's pretty amazing. I know for me...

Character Builds, Ability Points, & How to Kick Ass Thread

Mine is a Cat School based Crit/DoT build. It's pretty dynamic and I have fun with it. I wanted to make sure I had a steady progression throughout the game and so far it's worked wonderfully. Muscle Memory x5 Precise Blows x5 Crippling Strikes x5 Red Mutagen +40% AP Melt Armor x5 Delusion x3...
