I think it sounds great. It's a proper way to prepare yourself for combat, and mostly, exploit the info you gathered during your investigation phase. So it's not just for flavor, as I actually feared in the beginning, but it will have some immediate payout.

The active skill system sounds like what you had in Remember Me. Hope it'll be better executed in TW3.

I don't think such decisions can be influenced by what people might say on the Internet. I think the decision to delay the game was being discussed at CDP for a certain time now. The trailer "debacle" might have been the final straw, though.

The character models actually look great. It's the floor's textures and stuff that look really bad. Especially that shot where the Wild Hunt rider dismounts and you can see the horses legs...
