It might be because I have done so much work in Fuzion and Interlock 2020, but I'll always be partial to those. I like my systems lean and trimmed down, and the basic Interlock 2020 ruleset, or the V3 Fuzion ruleset, work just fine on that for me. Heck, if I were going to rewrite that Mekton...
